Candlewood Suites Huntersville-Lake Norman Area by IHG

This hotel is in a convenient location. The staff was nice. The room and bed were fine. The bathroom needed a serious upgrade. The parking spaces in the parking lot are very narrow and there were a lot of work trucks. Be careful where you park if using a personal vehicle as it could easier be hit by someone opening their car doors.

drove 20 mins just to get there , just to go check in and get told that they canceled our reservation bc they overbooked , we did not receive no call abt this either . wasted our time & gas wen a simple call wouldve been appreciated.

Overall just wasn’t pleased, smelled like cigs & weed, elevator was dirty, didn’t even work properly. Long check in process.

Candlewood never let us check into our room. Spent money for no reason. I’m super disappointed!

There will never be enough words to describe just how horrible my stay here was. I have had nightmares about this stay ever since my stay here, must've been the repulsive negative vibes I got from the entire cleaning staff as they let me know many times they did not want to do their job. Where do I begin? Let's start off with night one, walking into my room, it wasn't clean. I went to the front desk to ask for a new room and was told there was none available even though I was the only one staying in this hotel that night or one of a handful. I caught multiple staff members having, what appeared to be a literal farting contest in the hallways because every time I walked by "cleaning" staff I smelt something... unpleasant. There was a roach family sleeping peacefully in my pillows and I found bed bugs in the couches in the entrance. There was mold everywhere and the wifi went out every 5 -6 minutes. This place gave me final destination vibes, I've heard their positive reviews were fake and I totally believe it because there is no way on earth this place has over one star. I almost forgot to mention the managers must've banned together in agreement to hire the worst housekeeping staff possible because none of them are willing to work

Hotel overall needs to be updated to match other cws in the area. My room door was hard to open and close

I didn’t like the fact i got charged twice and they saying i gotta wait 31 days for my refund

No breakfast is included

Rooms for pets are dated. Furniture was very worn.
