Quality Inn & Suites Columbus

Rooms were kept clean. Lots of amenities. The bathroom in our room was exceptionally clean. The ladies at the front desk were very kind and helpful. The continental breakfast was also nice.

Our room seemed kind of damp, almost like it needed a good humidifier. As a result of the dampness, there was a little bit of a musty smell. Other things were just showing their age and worn a bit, but still clean. The pool water seemed a little off color, so my spouse was hesitant to let the kids swim.

Room smelled of smoke. They said it was their last handicapped room.. carpet did not look clean. Desk chair was in frayed condition. When I turned down the bed sheets there was a long black hair on sheets. No where to sit. For 2 people. Very noisy well past 11:00pm.

Doesnt look like much on the ouside but ita pretty nice inside!! Staff was so friendly!

Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was good. A couple of items detracted from our experience. We arrived shortly before 7pm. The front desk clerk was away doing other things elsewhere in the hotel. It was 10 -15 minutes before she returned. Seems like a staffing issue as I don't believe there were any other Quality Inn staff on the premises at the time. The other issue was with getting access to the Wifi. In attempting to access, I was taken to a site where I entered my last name and room number. It then offered to allow me to join Choice Privileges, which I'm already a member, or watch a short Ad. There was no place to log into my Choice Privileges account. So, I opted to watch the short ad, but once completed, I was taken back to the screen to enter my last name and room number and start the process all over again. Given the issue at check-in, I decided not to try to contact the front desk and used the hot spot on my cell phone instead.

It had a weird smell in the lobby and then it smelled like an apartment building on the way to our room. Our room smelled like a wet towel. Then, housekeeping knocked on the door twice around 9:15 when I was still sleeping and asked when I was checking out. Checkout was at noon.

the quality of this hotel has dropped since our last stay three years ago. The breakfast was terrible. The rooms had sheets with stains on them. The parking lot was telling. Hardly any families, but lots of Pacific Railroad trucks. This used to be the premier hotel in Columbus. Sad to see it go down hill so fast.

Water on floor in bathroom. I called right away and waited 40 min but didn’t get fixed. Tub did not drain. Tv did not work. Turned on but couldn’t change channels or input.

Very nice staff and rooms! Loved how late the pool stayed open but was sad the water was SO COLD!! Needs warmed up !
