The staff are just superb. I initially booked different accommodation but after talking to the staff, I decided to stay at the Comfort Inn. The staff were extremely helpful.

Transportation can be a problem while the hotel is also a distance from shops.

Everything was good except for the slow internet in my room.

I traveled 1,040 km, and when I arrived to check in at the Comfort hotel on February 3, 2026 at 11:00 PM, I was greeted by a sleepy receptionist in a wrinkled uniform, which immediately made me uneasy. When I noticed a separate red phone at the reception desk meant for calling management in case of problems, I realized that guests must be unhappy with the service here quite often if such a feature exists. She then began the check-in process. I had to sign many documents with numerous conditions and penalties for this old, shabby motel. A night here costs $90, and there is an outrageous $150 deposit. The situation escalated into an argument when the receptionist insisted that I hand over my credit card to her. I have traveled all over the world and this is the first time I have encountered such nonsense. I had to explain to the staff woman that it is illegal to hand your credit card to another person, since it contains my payment details. I explained that she has a modern terminal where I can insert the card myself and enter the PIN to authorize the deposit. Where do you hire such ill-trained and uneducated staff? Atlanta is a big city - surely you can find someone more competent to work with documents and people. In the end, she told me that if I didn’t give her my card, I could go to any other hotel. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW HOW HER EMPLOYER WOULD REACT IF THEY HEARD SUCH A STATEMENT.

I was completely shocked. Eventually, I showed her my card while holding it in my own hands and covering the security code. The receptionist was clearly unhappy about it, but she had to do her job. I regretted a million times that I ended up in this hotel. Does this mean that the Comfort hotel chain illegally collects customers’ card details? That sounds like a criminal offense, doesn’t it? By the way, about the location itself: this is the outskirts of Atlanta, where addicts walk along the property and shout at you to open your car window. I was honestly afraid to leave my car in the parking lot. This is a very unsafe place. Think twice before making a reservation here! On the morning of February 4, 2026, when we left our room, we were overcome with nausea from the strong smell of feces, urine, and marijuana smoke mixed together. The corridor smelled disgusting. Our room was located opposite the laundry room, and when we approached the elevator, we saw the source of the odor inside the laundry room - a homeless person was sleeping there. First, the hotel makes guests sign a pile of documents with numerous penalties, and then allows people like this into the property. When we returned to the room to get our belongings, there was food left on a table in the laundry room, which he had been eating. The photos also show the state in which breakfast is offered to guests. I felt unsafe for the entire duration of my stay. If this aligns with the standards of your head office, I am very sorry to hear that. If it does not, I urge you to take immediate action.
