Gateway Inn

While driving home from Florida to New Jersey, we decided to stop in Virginia. This hotel seems to be off of the beaten path because you can't easily see it at night but was just what we needed after driving for 12 hours. The room was clean, comfortable and suited our needs.

One Night Stay.

The room that we had need a good cleaning ,the door is dirty and the chairs are finished,they need to be change . The bed and pillows are confortable and clean. The tiles in the bathroom need a good cleaning and the walls in the bathroom are dirty. We already usedthis motel before and the other rooms were ok but the one that we had this time need a good cleaning.

We were very disappointed in this hotel. The floors were so worn in the bathroom that they looked dirty. ( black on white tiles) There was a huge stain on the rug and it smelled bad!

Perfect if you just need somewhere to crash for a few hours. The area/parking lot was very dark and a bit creepy, but that's what you get with such a low price. Biggest downside is there is NO food anywhere near by. Just a gas station.

Would definitely stay here again. Room was clean and bigger than anticipated. Only downside was location. Basicaly right iff I-95, but down a poorly lit, heavily wooded, nearly gravel service road. My teenage son said something to the effect of "I've seen this movie, Mom. There's a guy with a chainsaw right behind that tree." Front desk guy was very pleasant. I was a bit skeptical of the hotel - motel actually, doors outside - but the room was very clean, beds were comfy, AC worked. Can't ask for too much more for the price.

I was looking for economical because we were traveling with pets. The rate was great but the room was a little disappointing. It shouldn't have carpeting with pets because it smelled pretty bad even though it looked clean. My husband thought it was fine for what we paid.

Unfortunately there is no place to eat near here. Otherwise the stay was ok. Nothing great, nothing bad.

Arrived late for an overnight stay to break up a long trip. The first room was completely unacceptable. Musty, dank and creatures everywhere. Manager was really nice about accommodating us immediately into another room that was somewhat better and creature free. We both barely slept due to paranoia over our surroundings. Breakfast was a joke (on us!)

I was traveling south and needed a room for the night. The hotel is old and in need of updating but my room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was slight, but I would stay there again for a nights sleep. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful.
