Howard Johnson by Wyndham Portage La Prairie

It was outdated, no AC in the rooms, nail in the hot tub, seen a fight, the power went out for the whole day and was the hottest day so far. Did not compensate or give me money back. No replying to my emails. Very unprofessional.

It was great. The front worker was very nice and polite.

Jacuzzi did not work, restaurant and service was great

Roof leaked on my grandson when he slept. Terrible will never stay there afain

bad check-in, no emergency lights in hallways, I will never recommend this hotel to anyone, never stay here

The hotel was far out of the way ,it was noisy, kids yelling loudly and running around, the hot tub wasn’t working, the pool was cold and you had to walk to the front desk for towels . In the morning the kids were wanting to swimming befor breakfast but were told to get out of the pool as it wasn’t open till 10 am , an hour before checkout so the kids didn’t get to enjoy the pool , the main reason we booked at that hotel … never again and I don’t recommend that hotel .

The food was amazing and the room was ok, no bathroom fan, the hot tub was not working and no AC. You could tell they were working on improving things.

This Howard Johnson's Hotel in Portage La Prairie is worth a second look! It has been recently taken over by Howard Johnson's and the staff is working very hard to make upgrades to this older hotel. The possibilities are incredible with the lovely layout of this building and indoor pool. The new restaurant, "La Prairie", has exceptional food with lovely table decorations. The Chicken Caesar Salad was fresh, delicious, and the portion very generous! The rooms were clean and pet friendly, and there was expansive outdoor space for your pet to run and get some exercise after a long car ride. Arsh, the receptionist at the front desk, was most helpful and polite, making sure that your stay was everything you had hoped it would be. Would I stay here again...absolutely! Sarah Berry
