Disgusting and scary don't waste your time and money

Staff on duty was kid and friendly.

The room was a total mess, very dirty, and the bed was very uncomfortable. The headboard of the bed was loosely hanging on the wall and very noisy with every single turn. Above all, the room was extremely cold. I turned the heater up to 77, but no heat throughout the entire night. I ended up checking out on Saturday morning instead of Sunday morning, but they refused to give me a refund.

There were a lot of restaurants in the area.

My family and I booked a room at the Days Inn by Wyndham Cedar Falls-University Plaza July 2025 and were very disappointed in our stay. When we arrived the hotel smelled musty and the lobby looked as if it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks, even though there were vacuums sitting in the open by the check in desk. As we were walking to our room we had to step over dirty linen that was left on the steps. Once we got to our room we couldn’t believe how dirty it was. There are several photos below to show the state our room was in. The floor in the hotel room looked as if it hadn’t not been vacuumed in weeks and we were afraid to even take our shoes off to shower. We were only given 2 towels, even though we had 3 people on the reservation. I saw house keeping outside my room and asked for 3 clean towels and was yelled at by a different man that I only get two towels. I tried to explain that I had three people staying in the hotel room and the house keeper continued to yell at me in a language I did not understand until I gave him my dirty towels. The shower was another story. The curtain was stained and dirty and there were strains of long black hair that had been left on the shower wall. It was apparent that the shower had not been cleaned after the last guest had left. As you can see in the photo below the Kleenex cover was rusty and there was a white substance on the coffee maker. There were random holes in the walls that were covered in dirt and greasy fingerprints. While I was looking for an extra plug I found a used Q-tip on the ground There were cords all over around the TV that looked as if they could be a fire hazard. Had there been a fire we wouldn’t have been able to use the phone because it did not work. When I told the front desk about the phone not working, they said they would send some up to check, which never happened. To say that was a breakfast was a far stretch. There was fresh sex stains on the bed, dirty floors, holes in the walls dirty shower, no toilet paper

The location.

I was charged a $100.00 in addition to the room rate. This is not normal for a hotel. The room was dirty. There was dirt on the floor and it needed vacuuming. The mirror on the bathroom door was broken. Part of it was missing and had a jagged edge. This is unsafe. The bathroom sink area had pink smears. The bedspread had a cigarette burn. I took pictures, if you want to see them. The room was humid, the AC made a shrieking noise. The room smelled bad. I took the room because there were very few hotel rooms in town because of a swim meet. I was afraid I would not receive my deposit back because of the condition of the room. I still do not know how that will work out. But I had better receive that ridiculous deposit back on my credit card. I will never stay there again. This used to be an OK modestly priced hotel. What happened to it?

The beds were very comfortable.

The t.v. didn't work but the screen stayed illuminated. That was annoying. The air-conditioned rumbled all night...but air was needed. Breakfast was only until 9. We didn't check in til after 2 a.m. so no Breakfast for us.
