Holiday Inn Cleveland by IHG

Amy was a wonderful front desk attendant and went above and beyond to make a long travel day into a wonderful stay! It was so appreciated.

Facility seemed new, easy to get off & back on highway. The young Man that worked the evening of check in had a winning attitude, I appreciated him.

The a/c unit in the room ruined the stay. Especially for the building appearing fairly new I was surprised & bothered as to how bad the musty output of air generated by the cooling unit. I'm fairly familiar with a/c and there had to be either a filter needing changed, an evap coil not doing it's job or mold & mildew backed up in drain line. Made for a bad nights sleep. I use a breathing machine at night so not good for me to experience this I had stayed in Maryville, TN the night before and the Holiday Inn there had at least chaffing dishes with some hot food. The Manager of the location was working in the morning. Confused, I asked about breakfast and with a slight arrogant pride he responded " we are a Full Service Holiday Inn, you stayed at an express last night" I replied, well the express provided a better service than you are offering here. No more offered.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The internet was slow. The shower water pressure was good if you had the water turned all the way on and hot but if you turn the water temp down you lost the pressure.

The night staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and was close to restaurants but in a very quiet area. If it weren't for the working condition of some important items we would have given 5 starts. The tv wasn't working when we got there. The staff was able to get us some channels but half of them still didn't work. It's been really hot but the AC never cooled room below 77. The thermostat kept a ln error message on it the entire time and someone else was complaining about their's when we were checking in. And we either got cold showers or scalding hot ones, there was nothing in between. If they can get maintenance issues resolved we'd stay there again.

We called to make sure hotel knew we were arriving after 2 am. When we got there, the front desk person said our reservation was cancelled and made us a new one. That was disappointing bc we were tired

Needs some renovations. I think they tried todo some but couldn’t use toilet paper holder as installed to close to shelf, almost same with pull out coffee maker. Had to turn to side to insert water because shelf above holding microwave was not high enough to slow coffee maker to open to insert water.
