Rodeway Inn Rapid City North

First impressions is a giant dumpster in the parking lot. Walk into my room only to find ripped sheets with cigarette burns in covers, dirty floors oh and the smell in my room was relentless. I purchased air fresheners at dollar store to make my stay tolerable. The pool was ice cold and had so much chlorine it burned my eyes the moment I jumped it. If I hadn’t prepaid I would have turned around and walked out after seeing the terrible conditions of the property.

Very run down. We stayed there last year, it was a LOT nicer.

The man at the front desk was absolutely wonderful, very sweet, gave us a new box and TV right away when other didn't work. He checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything. We didn't realize they were renovating, the white furniture movers workers were extremely rude (and I am white) so that was unexpected but the Hispanic guy working next to us was very sweet. It seemed like a lot of addicts would go through parking lot but it may be location. Please give the front desk man a raise, I feel bad but I hope the hotel gets put back together really nice, the Nebraska locations are great. He explained they were going to fix up the hotel and it had a name change recently.

No breakfast, expensive considering current conditions, our door didn't lock, and another company that was there assisting with moving furniture was awful. Very disappointed as Nebraska locations are great.

I paid for 2 suites with 2 queens and a pull out couch in each room and one room did not have a couch.

Upstairs

Yuck. Generally old and icky, bathroom door doesn’t shut, carpet felt damp all over, mold in bathroom, did not feel clean at all. One of worst places we have stayed

Loud at night, no hot water *but luke warm.

Loved that a lot of things were in walking distance!! The hotel had a pool and was very comfortable

There were stains on the sheets, but that was the only issue we ran into.

Average hotel 6/10 quality for about $80 more than it should have been.
