It says no smoking but you could smell smoke coming from the rooms in the hallways. The people staying here were very uneducated and poor.

"Waste of my time and money. Disgusting environment, disgusting employees!"

Check-in time was at 3pm. When I went to check-in, the front desk associate wasn’t even in the building. I’m assuming another employee or trainee who wasn’t able to login to the computer at the time, (didn’t have credentials to check in guest) stated that the guy “went to go pick up a child or family member really quick and would be back in 20 minutes”. I gave him almost an hour just to be sure he was actually there when I showed up the second time. When I arrived, I asked if they needed the booking number from the app. He said no, just your name. After my ID was verified, they then asked me how I’ll be paying for the $150 deposit for “incidentals”. I then stated that I’ve already paid for the room, and the only reason (stating non-refundable) is because I was confident that there was no “incidental deposit required”. I have looked up numerous hotels on the booking.com app and have read every single “policy” or “information about the hotels” that I was potentially looking for that SPECIFICALLY didn’t state they had a deposit required. As 98% of the hotels listed, somewhere somehow they CLEARLY stated if there was a deposit required and how much it was. I told the guy at the front desk that I was never made aware of that, and that Roadway Inn was the only one who didn’t have the requirement of a deposit stated in anything, not the app, not the website, not even their own website! He then started to tell me that the app I used is “just a 3rd party app, we have people break stuff, steal towels all the time, and trash the rooms, the 3rd party app doesn’t send us money to clean or replace anything.. just barely gives us enough for the room” and proceeded to go on about how the local people in the town basically ruined that for everyone. Because once they started asking for it, they got less people staying there”. He said they take cash, credit or debit. Then said most people pay with a credit card, and we don’t charge it, we just authorize it”.

"Unforgettable"

The staff are friendly & welcoming, they worked with me the deposit amount & payment method.

It's dirty, ghetto, rundown, & outdated. Plus our shower water ran cold the night of our stay & the morning we checked out.

The bed room was dirty the current was broken the coffee maker had mold and there was a razer blade found on the floor and the whole place smelt like cigarettes
