Definitely needs a facelift. Beds are comfortable but rugs throughout the building, rooms and bathroom need to be updated. The hallways smell a bit moldy but I think it's because of the rugs. Overall it's fine for one night but probably not longer. The area is convenient to the highway.

If you think it would be nice to be so close to Denison - just book elsewhere and have a farther drive. This is really an awful hotel with ancient beds that are so uncomfortable one cannot get a good sleep. We stayed here a year ago and swore we would never go back but due to proximity to the university we booked again. The only bright spot of our stay was a very nice young woman who worked in the food area. Rooms are also very musty and the hotel does something so the AC does not work through the night. Room was falling apart - bathroom door wouldn’t shut, everything else banged up.

Location is right next to a busy and noisy highway. Parking availability was limited. Pool was out of order. Starbucks was not open on Saturday. Was told by front desk clerk when confirming reservation that pool was in good working order.
