The Courtyard by Marriott on Van Ness is one of my favorite hotels in the Bay Area. hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is convenient and central. I would highly recommend staying here.

Room with double beds was smaller than expected. Too small for 3 people. Bathroom had no counter room to place toiletries. Very few extras like lotion not provided.

"Wonderful place to stay!"

The lobby door is secure, front desk staff welcoming and engaging. Our room looks fresh, clean, and comfortable. It's pretty spacious and well lit. Restaurants are nearby. It's a great room, can't hear the street noise too much.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel has an excellent design aesthetic. Located close to our concert venue and could walk to many restaurants.

Rooms are on the small side for the price and parking lot was full.

"Terrible, bad location, awful staff total rip off"

Worst hotel on earth. I was given an average rate of $193 but was charged $479 for one night. I have been a Marriott member for over 25 years and never experienced such unprofessional treatment from staff. The van ness location is terrible and has very few restaurants near by and zero shopping. If I knew I would be charged $479 , not including the $67 tourist fee, for one night I would have stayed at the st Regis. STAY AWAY
