AC Hotel by Marriott New Orleans French Quarter

We had an overall pleasant experience at the AC. It is a very convenient location, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Lloyd M was a shining star and the highlight of our experience at the hotel. We had an excellent check in where he recognized me as a gold member and a Marriott employee and he was friendly and professional. One day, we had asked for fresh towels twice throughout the day and had not received them, and as soon as I went down and asked Lloyd around 3pm, he went to the back himself to retrieve the towels for me. A++ service. I was a little disappointed with the AM staff as I called down twice for the towels and even asked the AM desk staff in person and they never arrived. We also never received service, which I understand on our first day as we had a DND, but we did not our second day, and we still did not receive any cleaning. So I can’t give 5 stars as there were some major service misses, but Lloyd made it worth the stay and so did the very nice room!

Had a wonderful stay at the AC Nola. We were truly taken care of by Lloyd M who was working the counter by himself on Christmas Eve, juggling not just our check in, but multiple guests needing support. Llyod went above and beyond to ensure we had a room that was right for our family, as a loyal Marriott Titanium member, he recognized my loyalty and was helpful, friendly and supportive throughout our stay!

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room, as well as the generosity of housekeeping. Most hotels I’ve been to are stingy about giving extra towels or blankets, etc but that was not the case! Also, one of the hospitality workers, Ursula, made our visit to New Orleans even more fabulous. She was very personable & really took time out of her day to get to know us & make us feel welcomed. Not only was she my favorite employee of the hotel’s, but she was one the friendliest of people I met while visiting NOLA. It was me, my mother, and a friend and we were visiting because my mother’s days are limited on this side of Heaven and we wanted to show her a good time. Ursula helped to make that happen without even knowing that’s what she needed.

Do yourself a huge favour and choose a different place to stay. Dark, dingy, room with only a basic desk chair to sit. Bed practically against wall on the window side. Window barely let in any natural light. You saw other rooms across the way when looking out. Getting to the room was a crazy maze and it felt like a deathtrap should a fire happen. Never ever again. Just such a depressing place! The staff were very pleasant though.
