The Johnstown Estate

Lovely stay in Johnstown recently. Food was excellent in the bar served by Oisin. He was very polite, attentive, knowledgeable and hard working.

Jessie at The Spa check in was so helpful and pleasant - really top class - and Vida the Therapist was so knowledgeable and professional. One of the best facials I have ever had! I will be back.

Not a great experience, stains on duvet, 2 bottles of complimentary water, 1 which was half drunk. Dust all over lamps and bedside tables. Not a great look for a hotel which has a great name at the moment.

I hosted a hen party here for my friend last weekend. We had a wonderful day and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more attentive. The Hoban Suite room was beautiful and the afternoon tea was delicious.

The hotel setting is beautiful so calming and relaxing a walk in the grounds is so nice .The staff are so friendly and polite from Check in to the service staff .. any request we had was met . We ate in the bar the sever Osìan only a young lad but so good so polite he catered for all our dining needs . Was so impressed with the staff this is why we actually come back to this hotel . The room was exceptional a junior suite beautiful kept . The spa was amazing and the facilities in the pool area clean and well kept . The food was really good in the bar . Breakfast was fresh an so nice a wide range of foods pastries . We will definitely be back again as it’s definitely great value for money We drove so heading out was fine there isn’t much around the local area but we didn’t mind with the spa etc .. I would always highly recommend this hotel to family an friends

Stayed in Hotel for 2 nights , lovely location 40 mins outside Dublin . Room was lovely, had all the amenities . What’s stands out about the hotel is the staff . So friendly and helpful , we had a meal in the coach house and was served by Oisin . Such a lovely waiter , very chatty and just a lovely person . The food was lovely. Will stay again .

Nixon in the restaurant was an absolute gem- made us feel so welcome and special- great guy. Lovely evening with pizza and wine in the bar

We have stayed in many hotels throughout Ireland, yes there are some that stand out for one reason or another, however, after just one nights stay at the Johnstown Estate, we will be going back for a 'proper' visit! This is a big place with a big personality, the 'vibe' in this place just transported me right back to Texas! Busy in the public areas, calm in the lounges and restaurants, and the staff are the real deal when it comes to service with a smile. A truly family friendly resort, smack in the middle of some of the most interesting places to visit in Ireland. When you get all of the elements come together as well as they do at the Johnstown estate, the price is 'almost' irrelevant!

Lodge was lovely very comfortable

We booked the bar for food in had to send back my food twice as it was cold in the end I did not eat it. The bill came and it was still in the bill had to get them to take it off the bill. Also no we're in the hotel sells matches or lighters cigarettes in the basement
