Del Mar Beach Hotel

THE POSITIVES: (1) It is on the BEACH FRONT, (2) rooms were CLEAN, (3) people who work there are NICE, and (4) you can EASILY WALK to Powerhouse Park and Beach, and the shops and restaurants on Camino Del Mar. THE NEGATIVES: (1) Almost all of the rooms HAVE NO VIEW of the ocean, instead, they have a view of a parking lot, (2) there is NO PRIVACY in your room if you open your room's shutters because people who walk by can see in to your room; so if you want privacy you have to close the shutters, which means you are then just in a windowless room, (3) you can hear NOISE from rooms above and next door, and the parking lot, and (4) the BATHROOMS AND SMALL and have no counter space except for a few inches around the edges of the sink (one of the Traveler photos on TripAdvisor shows the bathroom). BOTTOMLINE: Great location with nice staff, but the rooms are disappointing.

We have been visiting this Hotel for 10 years! WE LOVE IT!!

Everything - it was absolutely wonderful!

Close to everything, staff was so friendly and helpful and rooms are big and clean.

Probably parking. They have small parking available.

Towel service wasn’t as good as it could be.

Right On the beach. A 10 minutes walk to restaurants and ice cream shops. Coffee maker in the lobby but was out of order the next day.

Booking over booked the king bed rooms and I was given a different room 2 queen beds on the first floor. The hotel staff were very helpful and curious called me several times to notify me and confirm to give me the option of canceling my reservation. Which I kept and appreciated
