The staff was amazing! The room was clean and cozy.

I didn't like the fact that there wasn't a continental breakfast. But Waffle House was across the street. I 10/10 recommend.

I have nothing negative to say about this property. I was in a bit of a situation as I had to move from one hotel (non-Marriott) at 2am because it had a fair bit of bugs in the room, over to the Courtyard and it was night and day! Shoutout to Napoleon for the amazing service as well! He was able to secure me a room and was so nice and welcoming considering it was after 3a at this point. As a budget traveler myself, I rarely stay in super upscale hotels however this was one of those times and it definitely was a right choice here. Rooms were clean, common areas were clean, no free breakfast however there is a bistro/bar with some solid options. Can’t complain at all and I definitely would stay here again.

An extremely friendly staff, from the manager to the maintenance. A quiet location with good food and drinks. We stayed there for multiple days during the final days of a family member. They were very gracious in the offers given to us during this stressful time.

Typically Marriott Courtyards are a far higher quality - compared to other like brands. As courtyards do not include amenities, such as breakfast it traditionally is a custom to providing far better accommodations in the guestroom. Upon arriving at this courtyard, I was pleasantly surprised to find the lobby was staffed with over five employees, which is surprising in the hospitality industry of this caliber as it’s not a high-end experience. However, upon getting to our hotel floor, there was a pungent smell of marijuana. Distinct enough that both my children immediately made a comment. Then arriving in to our room, we found that all of the furniture was significantly outdated and overused. The dresser and desk both have been worn down are splintering wood with parts, broken and certainly not something that I would expect and a functioning mid-level hotel. These accommodations I would expect in a red roof, Motel 6, Days Inn, or Microtel. And even then have experience far superior to what I encountered at the courtyard. However, the accommodations did not improve from there as there is moisture built up on the wall above the air conditioner, rust on all of the newer features with lighting and bathroom included. The hinges of the doors are also rusted over along with the door frames that have moisture and rust alongside. The thread count of the sheets are like a razor blades, but they were in fact clean. Well, I did feel that this hotel was safe I don’t recall an accommodations in the past 15 to 20 years that I’ve had a worst experience. The only highlight was that this was only a few short hours of a stay along a road trip. I would highly suggest any other person looking to stay in this area to continue on Charlotte. Initially had planned on using points - so happy I didn’t because it wouldn’t have been worth 1 point never mind the 15,000 it was attempting to charge. In total the cost was $170 for our stay and it certainly wasn’t worth that either.
