Middlebury Inn

Very friendly staff, clean room, parking lot is close. I liked that they had beverages and snacks to purchase at the front desk and free coffee and tea in the morning.

Very nice property, comfortable stay. The hotel and dining room staff were very good. Our one critical comment is about cleanliness in the dining room - utensils and glasses could have been more carefully vetted. Not the biggest deal, but more attention to detail required there.

A charming place with friendly staff

We are here now for one night. We are staying in the annex building. It is TERRIBLE... not clean... worn out needs a major cleaning and remodel. The room smells old and musty... we have the windows open. At least the smell from the restaurant helps. I would not stay here ... the price is outrageous for what you are getting. Perhaps the main hotel building is better?

I love Middlebury, Vermont, and have visited many times. This was my first time at the Middlebury Inn and it will be my last. When I arrived, I was told I would be staying in the motel instead of the Main Inn, this was not made clear when I booked my room. This room would’ve been terrible at $90 a night at $300 a night, It was appalling. The carpet was damp (my socks were wet from walking on it), the room was old and tired, the water ran hot and cold, and the hot water didn’t last. And there were flies in my room. Sadly, the hotel was full, and it was leaf season, so there was no place to go, otherwise I would’ve checked out (I was there and miserable for a week). Do yourself a favor, if you choose to stay at the Middlebury Inn, make sure you’re in the main Inn (I hear that is nice) if not, save yourself and leave!

A lovely

Wonderful historic inn in a picturesque college town with iconic covered wooden bridges nearby. Great location within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Book beautifully furnished room in the main building (not the annex) and enjoy a drink sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch. Didn't eat in the restaurant, but thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay. Highly recommend this awesome hotel.
