Holiday Inn Express Southfield-Detroit, an IHG Hotel

I travel quite frequently and their second shift desk clerk was probably the worst I have ever encountered. Consistently rude. Treated every guest as if they were an inconvenience, even if they were just checking in. Consistently smelled like smoke throughout the hallways as well, though I understand that’s hard to police. With how many choices their are in the surrounding areas, it’s an easy decision to just stay elsewhere. I strongly suggest that you choose a different place. I’ll never choose this property again.

Had to change rooms a few times due to them not being clean. The first room smelled of strong piss, the second room had hair all over the bathroom floor and piilows, and also had thigh dirt on the toilet seat, and a filthy refrigerator. Had to deal with attitude from the receptionist before getting one that was semi clean. Other guests were complaining about the lack of cleanliness in thier rooms as well. Even though i liked the location, I'll pass on this place next time around.

Very great stay at hotel.

The room was too warm, we couldnt regulate the temperature Even we put it on cool. It didnt work.

black girl at the front desk was rude to us, and bedding was not fresh also soap dispenser was not full

The suite was spacious and well kept. The hours for tbe pool / hot tub were not sufficient for me.

Third-party payment failed to post. This forced me to have to call Hotels.com/Expedia. After 45 minutes the 3rd Reservations rep was able to resolve my check-in issue.
