Good location, clean hotel, friendly staff

Renovations look nice. Price point is good for the hotel. Location is great. Place is usually clean. Breakfast is pretty ok. The gym is tiny, but efficient. Staff is usually nice enough.

The staff is almost always pleasant, but they’re kind of unprofessional, overly casual, and kinda just take their time. You can tell they’re nice because they have to be, but it’s short, speak only as much as you have to, and be done with these people kind of interactions. Pleasant and fine, but definitely not genuinely friendly, helpful folks….Like a fast food drive thru experience. You always smell weed throughout the place. Several of the staff smell like it too. Staff seem to always be hanging out talking in small groups, or hanging out in the manager’s office….not usually at the desk, but they get there eventually. The manager’s office looks like a college kids dorm room and not a professional’s office. It’s the first thing you see when you come in, and the last thing you see as you walk out. You can’t miss the “chillin at home” vibe of his space. He really needs a door you can’t see through or to have his office out of the lobby.

I have stayed at This particular hotel three times my last two stays were in the same room that faced a wall with no view. I asked to be in the hotel was less accommodating with my request. Very disappointed. I will choose another property in the Chester area when I visit again and not stay here.

Overall clean enough, just some details missed or showing age. Room 314 was spacious but bathroom layout was annoying. Why does the door open inward with very little clearance to the tub and like a millimeter from the toilet? Sink being in room might be convenient for getting ready but not if four people are sharing the room as intended and 3 are trying to sleep. The HVAC cooked ok but the fan wouldn’t stay on constantly as I prefer and made odd noises. One of the elevators hit a loud bump twice when I used it. Breakfast (weekend menu) had waffles, egg bites, French toast bites, bananas , oranges, 3 types of cereal, 2 juices from concentrate, bagels and bread to toast, individual milks and yogurts, Having several allergies including pork, I was super-touched by the sign offering to make Turkey sausage by request. It was ready in less than 10 minutes and was a nice addition. Staff were courteous and coffee was available 24/7.
