Hyatt Select Richmond Chester

The breakfast was wonderful every day, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the shower was big and the room was laid out in a great way. We loved it!

I like the location.

Property was being renovated. Nothing was as it was advertised.There was no restaurant, bar, pool was not being maintained so we could not swim.

Initially, I had some concerns regarding a communication lapse, but the management team truly went above and beyond to make things right. The General Manager, Nicholas, was professional and ensured that my items were returned and the situation was resolved perfectly. It is rare to see a hotel take accountability so seriously. My confidence in this Hyatt has been fully restored!

This is a very convenient hotel (right off 295 south). It is nicely appointed, well-staffed and next door to a good Mexican restaurant (Jalepenos) and a WAWA convenience store. We plan to stop every year during our trek from Maine to South Carolina.

I was curious to try a Hyatt select to see how it compared to Hyatt Place and found the biggest difference would be the breakfast selection is much more limited at the Hyatt select. Most of the other amenities and services were the same. I would try the product again but only for maybe one night stays.

The bathroom drain was filthy, the bathroom tiles had not been cleaned. Room had a horrible musty odor. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in Hyatt.

I was disappointed with our recent stay. Prior to renovations, they provided glass glasses along with glass cups instead they now provide the downgrade of paper cups and paper glasses. Breakfast was also a downgrade with fewer options of food to choose from.Staff as always was excellent. The Hyatt Select has now become just another regular hotel, no longer an exceptional place to stay as I referred to it before. So sad to see those little extras gone, it gave the Hyatt a step above !
