Hotel can improve cleanliness a little.

Room was clean, but disappointed we had no hot water and had to take cold showers in the evening.

Terrible experience. No hot water, noisy room from traffic noise.

Great location, fine access to parking. The small gym was clean and well outfitted.

The hallway carpets and wallpaper are very old and shabby. Our experience was no doubt diminished by being given a room in the basement of the building. Windows looked out on an alley and you could see people's feet pass by. There was a strong scent of airfresher in the room and hallways and it wasn't quite up to the job. I would sum it up by saying that just because it's the highest rated hotel in Keene, doesn't mean it's a great hotel.

We stayed in the loft room and it was great! Right downtown, free parking right out the back and the staff is super nice. I would definitely go back!

We had a good stay overall. The hotel is lovely and located in the heart of the town of Keene. The loft room was comfortable and worked great for 3 people. Only complaint is the air conditioner was extremely loud. I had to purchse better ear plugs in order to sleep. Free breakfast was very good with good choices available each day. Only other issue I had is the entrance of hotel is Main Street with stairs so recommend you call hotel on arrival and have receptionist meet you at (locked)back door where there is a ramp making it easier to carry luggage. Free parking is a short distance away in public parking lot.

My husband and I had high hopes for this hotel based on the reviews and photos but it was very disappointing. The location is great and it is unique, but the hotel has not been maintained. In our room, the headboards were peeling and paint was peeling in the bathroom. The A/C unit cycles on/off and sounded like a jet engine. Bathrooms are diminutive and the shower head is oddly angled with poor water flow. You get housekeeping every 2 days, but on our day, the only "housekeeping" was that they replaced towels and a tissue box in the bathroom. The toilet was not cleaned, beds were not made (let alone a linen refresh) and they did not vacuum - but they took the tip that we left. I had to go to the front desk in the late afternoon and ask for toilet paper and if housekeeping included making beds, vacuuming, etc. I was told yes and asked when I wanted housekeeping to come back and make the beds and vacuum - seriously? Breakfast was inconsistent with some days no yogurt or fresh fruit and on 2 days the staff not cleaning the serving counters or tables; our last day, there was no staff around for at least 45 minutes and the chafing dishes were near empty. The fire exit instructions are odd, since one stairway doesn't go all the way to the first floor; a concern of ours since we have had to evacuate hotels a few time. Not Marriott standards.
