The grounds are well taken care of. The hotel is clean, and the staff are friendly.

Beautiful setting, access to hot springs poo, free parkingl and nearby access to restaurants.

No air conditioning, not well cleaned, older building showing signs of wear and tear. Could use some attention to freshen it up.

Loved the location beautiful view from our balcony. Spa was amazing enjoyed our massages

Apparently the air conditioning was broken however we were told it was only on for summer time. Which we found out that was not true. To hot to sleep in our room. Staff were very rude not helpful or friendly at all. The hotel is aged not worth over $300 a night

A once amazing getaway has fallen to near the bottom. My wife and I have been coming for about 10 years 2 to 3 times a year and have had an amazing time every time. This last weekend Saturday, we booked an impromptu night with the kids. Unfortunately, the whole thing was such a disaster that my wife now isn't sure she ever wants to come back. Checking in, she asked the girl for towels and robes, and she was short and borderline rude, telling her to go see what was in the room first before asking for more. When we got to the room there was only 2 towels and 2 robes, so she called the front to request more and was met with the same rudeness from the same person. The room was moderately clean, the bathtub had a woman's hair tie sitting in the corner, so it was not given a thorough clean. The fridge froze all our fruit and vegetable so they needed to be thrown out. I then called down to mention that our AC was not working, same girl rudely told me she knew and that engineering was working on it. Why were we not told about the AC at time of check in? Maybe given the option to go to the heritage building for cheaper or to just cancel? Our robes and towels were taken by someone, so I picked up the phone to report it, without noticing the emergency sign, because I was concerned about the room keys being stolen. The same employee was angry that I used the emergency phone for reporting this. Told me to go to the desk and hung up. We went to Islands Patio and lounge...again the wait staff was just so unfriendly and short with us. Kicked our kids out because they were in robes, again it was how we were spoken to , not the rules...we understand the rules. Our sleep was terrible for each of us, it was so hot it was hard to sleep. We had to keep the door open along with the curtains, and since we were poolside, the lights kept us awake also. The next morning at 8:58 we went by the gift shop, and seen the girl opening it up. We asked what time they were open and she said 9AM but that she needed to do cash and get ready so come back later. She said this very shortly and without even turning to face us. Would it have been so hard to just let us in and browse until she was ready? The staff overall were so unwelcoming that it was uncomfortable for us. Which is the opposite of what we have been used to. It has always been stellar service. Out on the pool deck after breakfast, the amount of chairs has dwindled over the last few visits, there were about 10-20 constantly looking for chairs, my wife requested more from one of the maintenance people and was ignored so she requested at the desk and was told there were no more, there was about double the people to chairs. There was no poolside bar or snacks? Just from a business perspective I found that odd as the money opportunity is just sitting there, but from a client perspective it would have been nice....just another service lacking.
