Best Western Erie Inn & Suites

Staff were really nice. The bathroom door was awful. You couldnt lock the door, it was glass so no noise proofing, and when youre trying to sleep and someone needs to use the bathroom, the whole room lights up since its transparent. Hated that aspect. The beds are supposed to be queens but they seem like doubles. But the beds were comfortable.

We had been going to the Best Western Plus across the road until they shut down and this location (across the road form the original) somewhat recently opened. Basically everything was well done accept for the extremely low toilet and the sink stopper did not work at all - otherwise things were good. There was a very bright spot in the check-in lady (Nem Bookamer or something close to that name). Possibly she was also the Manager/General Manager (??). In any event, she was very efficient, personable, helpful and knowledgeable about the facility and surrounding area. She made this location stand out in the crowd of accommodations in this area. We will definitely return.

Check-in was supposed to be at 3 PM, but when we arrived at 3:20, our room still wasn’t ready. We returned 30 minutes later and were given the wrong room—a double queen instead of the single king we booked. When we brought it up to the front desk, the manager falsely claimed there were no king rooms in the building, then handed me his personal phone to speak with the general manager. Only after that did we finally get the correct room. The air conditioner wouldn’t stay on long enough to cool the room properly, and there was visible mold on the bathroom ceiling. On top of that, the manager was unprofessional toward the front desk staff right in front of guests. Overall, not an enjoyable stay and wouldn’t recommend.

Bathroom didn't lock

Very bad experience. We stayed in a two room suite with separate bedroom for 235.00 per night. No TV in living area, so 7 had to watch tv in the sleeping area. The coffee maker in the room did not work, sewer smell in bathroom, sink backed up, had no closets, no bedding for hide-a-bed. Breakfast was 30 minutes late, and meat and eggs were cold. Waffle mix empty on breakfast area opening. Coffee maker in lobby broken.

The room was nice and the bathroom was better than most. The breakfast area has limited seating and lots of items were out when we were there.

It was very quiet compared to other Erie hotels in the area. The parking lot was mostly empty when I left in the morning which I took notice of. Not sure why there wasn't more people staying there. I didn't have any issues at all

So, don’t get me wrong the facility was nice. However, the ONLY reason I booked was for the jacuzzi suite. And lo and behold we couldn’t even use the tub. I went to the front desk, the poor girl ( she was a sweetheart) didn’t know what to do. She was willing to give us a refund and all but I was so tired and sick from this weather I told my husband I didn’t wanna move to another hotel. I was just saddened I paid what I did and couldn’t reap the benefits of what I paid for.

Beds were comfortable and room was fairly clean. Continental breakfast was fine. However, the commode seat was very loose and the latch on the sliding door to the bathroom was broken. There was also a terrible smell (almost like urine) in the room. The front desk clerk offered some air freshener, but that did nothing to help. She did offer to find another room on another floor, but we had friends in 2 other rooms nearby and didnt want to move. I slept with my face covered and woke up with a very irritated throat. There was also a strong bleach smell in the hallway.
