Best Western Erie Inn & Suites

This was supposed to be a fun weekend getaway before school started, and we just needed a room for one night. I booked this in advance because there are five of us… two queen beds and a pull out sofa. There was NO mention of this hotel previously being another hotel that was bought by Best Western. I received this notification after I had already paid for the room. No worries I thought because Best Western has never failed us before. To my horror, this was the worst Best Western I have ever stayed in, and I also had my family with me. Not acceptable! Check in took 45 minutes, one man all by himself, not one person would help him. Check in time is 3pm, rooms were not cleaned or ready for guests! One family didn’t get the room they booked, he refused to even try to accommodate them and make it right. The hotel was fully booked, no alternate rooms. They went out to buy an air mattress for their son to sleep on. Terrible service! Our room was disgusting! Stained curtains, mold and who knows what else in the windowsills. Tiles broken and missing in the bathroom, the bathroom door did not shut, and that couch should have gone out with the trash when they bought out the old hotel! Holes in the walls, just very unclean and disgusting. If I could have been refunded we would have left. Stupidly I paid for a room I couldn’t cancel. The hotel didn’t care, they already had our money. The breakfast was non existent, the pool was shut down, although maybe that was a blessing!

Very accommodating. Small issue with room availability but upgraded us. Room had evidence of moisture issues. Complimentary breakfast was excellent Pool was closed for renovations and we were unaware . Overall, good experience

No working pool, ( we were told it was too expensive to repair) no working fire pit (it has never had propane in it we were told) no hair dryer, no Kleenex, worker doing breakfast was at table on her phone. Taking up table space for eaters with her personal belongings. (Eating space very limited to begin with) we chose this hotel for the pool and fire pit. Coffee was good tho! Faucet not attached to bathroom sink well and no Kleenex in the room. Our first room they put us in was never cleaned from previous guests and the worker told us that housekeeping marked it ready. For a new hotel, poor experience!!

I would not recommend this property to anyone the room smelled of mold the bathroom tiles fill out the wall, the bathroom door lock came off the trim around the bar fridge came off , we were told the pool atunder construction but when we went to look it was used as storage room for bed frames and other hotel material, the staff were ok . i would not stay here ever again.

It was currently under construction, so the pool was closed. Alot areas seemed half done. Room was comfortable yet could have been cleaner. Breakfast was good. Price very responsble.

Our bathroom door wouldn’t stay shut Also we asked for our room to be cleaned half way during our stay & got ignored.

It was just ok.
