Hilton Garden Inn Independence

bed was very comfortable We came from Iowa for the game at Arrowhead and it was worth it. we were very happy with the stay and it was near all the shopping we needed also.

well as always the price but that is a given

The staff was great and very accommodating. Breakfast personnel were upbeat and very helpful.

Beds were hard in room 511, staff is friendly, rooms were clean

A bit of a rundown hotel. Signs everywhere that they are “refreshing” or remodeling however there wasn’t any work being done that I could tell. Black Stains on the carpet in my room, it looked like the refrigerator had leaked with big water stains and warped wood on the stand it was sitting in, air conditioner was lack luster or simply didn’t work, and the just as staff were lackluster as the hotel itself; waited 15 minutes for a server to ever acknowledge me while they served patron who sat down well after I had, and this was after I asked if there was a server for the table that I was sitting at. Paid 13.00 for the breakfast below…nice runny scrambled eggs and cold bacon. Watched wait staff clear a table and instead of actually “cleaning” the table or sanitizing it, she simply used the previous customers napkin to wipe down the table, rearranged the menus and leftover unwrapped silverware for next customer, place the used napkin on top of used plates left on the table while she “wiped it down” and then walk away. Staff here do not seem very motivated, take pride in their work and they are not hospitable although they work in the hospitality industry. Front desk staff was more interested in looking at their phone and eating their whataburger than looking up to help a customer. Needless to say, this hotel doesn’t live up to what once was a great Hilton name and brand. Should have stayed at nearby Stoney Creek; next time I will.

The elevators and floors were very dirty. The whole building smelled like mildew and weed. Our room was hot and sticky when went in and the sheets felt damp from humidity in the room.

We got to the hotel at our check in time and there wasnt a room available for our reservation. So we decided to sit in the lobby and wait alongside a few other families. The lobby looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a while and there were spills and crumbs everywhere. After about 30 min of waiting we decided to shop while we waited. Finally at 5:30 we got the text saying that our room was ready, two hours after our scheduled check in time. Once we got to our room and entered i realized that the room wasnt the room that i had paid for. So i had to go downstairs and get a refund for the price difference or the room we were in. The staff were very helpful and did the best they could. Overall it was a dissapointing experience.
