Carina Bay Boutique All inclusive Resort & Casino

Just returned from Carina Bay Boutique Resort and Casino. Nice stay and we'd return, but wouldn't say it's one of our favorites. On the plus side, the resort is not huge, so you get to know all of the staff, who are all very friendly and helpful. You also get to know many of the guests. We enjoyed just hanging by the pool spending time with our fellow travelers. Not a lot of craziness, so great time to grab a chair and read a book. The pool bar and grill was great. The scenery very beautiful. On the down side, while the beach is beautiful, it's rather rocky and is inundated by sea weed. The work hard to keep it clean, but it just continually washes ashore. The food was just ok, not bad, but their website gave me very high expectations that were not met. The resort is rather remote. Great if your just wanting a quiet time by the pool and beach, but other than the casino, there's not much in the immediate area. You'll need a car or be willing to pay pretty high cab fares to get to the rest of the island. Overall, we'd definitely consider Carina Bay again, but not one of our top Caribean destinations.

The location was good and the weather was fantastic. And that’s the last good thing I have to say about this resort. The staff was vary mediocre and seemed untrained in the hospitality industry. The food was awful. Except for the bar - the fries and burger could pass for a meal if you’re starving. That is, when you could get them. They were “out” of all sort of menu items both at the bar and the restaurant. You had to make reservations for the restaurant. Fine, truly, that’s standard. But when we tried to make a reservation for Valentine’s Day, there was no availability. You’d think they would have mentioned that when we checked in or given a heads up that we should reserve early or that it was already full and would need to dine elsewhere….instead of the all inclusive resort. On Sunday, we asked to get a cab or taxi to go shopping. The ride was fine. But they failed to mention that nearly everything is closed in town on Sunday. We would have easily changed our plans had we known. The room was surface level “clean”. Pink mold in the bathroom. When I unfolded the “clean” bath towel, it was covered in someone’s hard. Long, black curly hair. Definitely not mine. When we flagged our door/room for housekeeping, left for the day, returned to find nothing had been touched. So my husband asked at the desk for service. Which came hours later, while we were in the room. It seemed to be common practice to leave garbage, plates and trash about. We constantly saw bags of trash in the hallway. And there was a heap of discarded what seemed to be office equipment that was never touched during our 5 day stay. While this is usually high season for the island, the resort seemed to be at half capacity. And they still seemed understaffed. We couldn’t even get fresh beach towels each day. I would absolutely not recommend this resort.

Located on the east side of St Croix. Great if you are looking for a secluded get away. There is no store on the property so if you needed sun-tan lotion, a candy bar, Tylenol, etc., you were out of luck unless you took a taxi. Friendly staff except for the lady that seated us in the restaurant the first few evenings we were there. Edmond, night shift Manager is outstanding. Rooms were clean and very quiet except for the 12:06 shooting along the highway Thursday evening. Breakfast buffet and omelets were superb. Lunch, the food was great but the bar area to order was a little small. Need another place for lunch on the property. The evening meals were good except for the nights they had a buffet. The heaters under the trays were not lit early enough so if you are a 6 or 6:30 the hot items were not hot. The salads were nice with great dressings. If you didn't gamble the evenings need a little more entertainment. Friday evening the entertainment was superb. The mini-golf course was in shambles. The course was covered with dead grass, leaves; the water pumps were not operating; there were ants crawling all thru the holes. Overall, our stay was acceptable for the price we paid. Not sure I would return unless there were some repairs done to the property. You can expect to pay $40 plus for a round-trip taxi to town or more for an excursion.

We came here to celebrate Valentine’s Day and my boyfriend’s birthday and baby… they did not disappoint. Customer service? A1 from the jump. Communication was amazing even before we arrived. The front desk ladies really showed out 🤏🏾🤏🏾 they set up balloons, champagne, and cheesecake in our room for his birthday and it was perfect. It felt personal, not generic. That meant a lot. The pool and jacuzzi was a whole vibe. Drinks were GOOD .. strong but smooth, not the kind that make you feel sick after two. Louisa at the bar and the rest of the staff were lit and made sure we were straight the entire time. You could tell they actually care about the guest experience. Kayaking was so much fun !! shoutout to Loula (I hope that’s how you spell it) for making it such a good time. 🩷🩷 …. The ONLY reason I didn’t give it a full 5 is the upstairs restaurant reservation situation. We were told reservations were required, and so were other guests… but the restaurant was empty at times lol. It wasn’t a huge issue because we were always seated and the food (especially the Valentine’s buffet) was good. It just felt a little unnecessary. Casino was lit. Energy was great. We met some really cool people. Overall it was a beautiful trip and the perfect mix of romance and fun. We’ll definitely be back. ☺️

Spacious and clean, the oceanfront room offers a front row seat to the beach and ocean in a basic fashion. Rent a car and use this large room with economy-level outfitting as a jumping off point to see the rest of St. Croix. Rethink their "all-inclusive" label and plan on eating out in the community to gain a full belly. Breakfast is reliable while other food is scarce to find, though all the drinks you want! The room is big, the bathroom roomy, the balcony lovely, and the staff is very friendly. Water is warm and the beach is lovely (February and none of the seaweed people mentioned). It's more of a hotel room with some bonus offerings rather than an "all inclusive resort".

Had an amazing time and experience here! Beyond the gorgeous views and lively accommodations the service was impeccable! We had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing human beings at this resort, but there is 1 who stood out the most with her amazing energy! Louisa aka Juicy!!!!! If you are so lucky to meet her, tell her Jess said hi!!

My husband and I stayed at the Divi Carina and Casino Resort in St. Croix USVI for my 50th birthday week. Luisa, Gregory and Bethany ARE the best beach bartenders we had the pleasure of meeting! They made our trip so memorable! They not only made DELICIOUS drinks but were so genuine - such good people!! ❤️ And a quick shout out to the cooks as well, they kept all the beach goers well fed! I will never forget this vacation! Hope to be back soon!!

We stayed 8 days 7 nights in one of the renovated rooms, all inclusive. Positive: New room was nice, bathroom was clean, shampoo/conditioner smell great. Bartenders are fabulous - Bethany, Scott and Abena especially. Pool was clean and refreshing, pool towels are extra long and super soft. Bottles of water were provided at no extra cost. The iguana at the pool likes oranges! Negatives: If fine dining is a priority this is not the place for you. Breakfast - get there early or wait for lunch, unappealing buffet options with eggs to order. Fresh fruit was limited. Lunch is bar food, which was acceptable. Dinner is a disappointment, appeared to be precooked/purchased and reheated, dessert was bland boxed cakes. Linens (sheets/towels) are poor quality. Thankful we packed some snacks for the room, no onsite vending or sundry shop.

Bartenders, Louisa and Bethany, made our time at Carina Bay a blast! Met with nothing but smiles at the bar every single time we walked up.

As a full time resident and neighbor have to tell you the Caribbean Sea is just a stone’s throw away from your door make sure aware of tsunamis. Also the stench of Sargassam seaweed may be plaguing the resort a very bad smell prevailing in the air. One other thing is a home nearby is under construction using jackhammers heavy machinery with backup warning noises etc. All of this should be taken into consideration imo…
