Marriott's Crystal Shores

Marriott vacation club crytal shores in Marco Island is dated but still a very nice property. The location is excellent and the beach and the Gulf are very nice. As for the food options and the quality of the food this is a minus factor. Not good in both areas.

We just returned from a fabulous week at Crystal Shores..our favorite Marriot Vacation Club…customer service was top notch…the grounds were beautifully maintained…the 10 floor Island view Villa was spotless and the view was very nice…any items we needed to be refilled was a quick call to the front desk and the items we needed were promptly brought up to our Villa..there was always a follow-up call from the front desk confirming the items were delivered…beds were super comfortable….my daughter..husband and grandson had arrived 3 days before my wife and I and I spoke to room co ordinater Martin a couple days before our arrival and luckily he was able to arrange our Villa to be right next door to them…extremely kind and thoughtful…Our family will be returning to Crystal Shores and beautiful Marco Island next year for another relaxing wonderful stay…

Big Marriott fan and lifetime titanium as context for review - hotel is fine, but not great. Disappointment is that the service levels do not live up to a Marriott brand level quality. For example, here for a conference with a bunch of zoom calls scheduled in the afternoon in the room, asked at 7.45 AM if they could have the housekeeping done by noon or even 1 PM and the answer was no even with 5+ hours of notice. I would expect this at a Select level Marriott like Fairfield or even Courtyard, this property is not currently living up to the Marriott level quality. Write this hoping someone takes note and improves it. Rooms are fine but not great so set expectations accordingly. That said, someone needs to recognize Pedro’s excellent level of service - but for him and the young women working on his shift, this review would not have been as forgiving.

First, the hotel is very well maintained. Everything is very clean. We had an ocean front two bedroom unit with amazing views. We enjoyed all the pools. A couple of problems did come up. The internet is very poor. We were given a handicap room with a roll in shower that we didn’t want but had no choice. Both showers though leaked water all over the floor making a mess to clean everyday. We found the beds to be kind of lumpy and uncomfortable.

Beautiful property

We had a 3 bedroom pool view, floor 5 on the corner for 6 adults and one toddler. It was spectacular! When we arrived the concierge placed ballons, a lovely card and some small toys for our grandson's 1st birthday. We were allowed to check in at 3pm as requested. The room was spacious and spotless and everything we needed was supplied including a high chair and pack and play. The balcony is very spacious, the living area was well appointed and there was nothing we needed. The pools were clean and lots of chaises available. We rented 4 chairs and two umbrellas and alternated between the beach and pool. Don't forget to look for the free-cycle bin for beach chairs and floats that guests leave behind for others! It's near the herb garden. Can't wait to go back!

Omg. The elevators were so slow, those alone would take off points. The beach chairs and umbrellas—which you pay for by the day—are for too few hours. They take them down at 6 pm, when 8 pm would be much more appropriate. Sunset is after 8 pm in summer, and sunset is the best time of day!!! We all wanted to be out then.
