Villas at Fortune Place

We enjoyed the facilities and the condo was comfortable for what we needed. It had most everything we needed when we cooked dinner. Overall very happy with our stay.

The kitchen had most everything we needed but it could have had a few more items. We made due with what we had. When relaxing the the hot tub we were peppered with basketballs. The fence/netting protecting us from balls coming over the goal was not tall enough.

Super clean and plenty of space.

Refrigerator opened the WRONG way. Pretty interesting how inconvenient that is!

We have stayed at the Villas at Fortune Place for the past three years during The Spring Games, mainly for its location to Fortune Road Athletic Fields and the Florida Turnpike. We used our RCI timeshare points for the stays. This is not a new, glitzy, modern resort with hundreds of units, but the resort staff are some of the nicest, helpful, respectful people you will encounter at most timeshares. It's fairly quiet and was not overcrowded. The pool areas were clean and there are covered tables for shade adjacent to the pool area. There's a splash pad for the younger kids, a tennis/pickle board court, and hot tub on the property. One year we stayed in a 2 story, 2 bedroom townhome, and the other two years stayed in a one level, 2-bedroom first floor unit (perfect for us older travelers). Our units have been clean and had working appliances! This last year it seemed that our unit had recently been updated with granite countertops and newer appliances. There's not an excess of cooking equipment (six of utensils, dishes, etc), and the coffee pot was a mini-pot. We prefer to eat in our units when traveling to this area because it's always jammed with so many tourists. The master bed was comfortable enough for us and we slept just fine. A small inconvenience: the windows to the bedroom were adjacent to the back end of the strip mall and there were security lights on all night. It didn't bother us, but bring eye masks if you need a dark bedroom to sleep. There is a grocery store in a strip mall adjacent to the back side of the property, within a 5 minute walk, accessible thru a locked gate between the resort and the strip mall. There are plenty of gas stations and restaurants in the area, too. We found great pizza (way above Florida standards), a local wing restaurant, and a very good Mexican/Cuban restaurant nearby.
