The Gordon House Hotel

In town for business and wanted a well priced, clean & secure hotel that was easy to get in and out of for various meetings in Colaba. This hotel was exactly that. Didn't have any issues with the nightclub noise that was reported on other reviews but then I was there on a Mon & Tues night. Staff very helpful. Would stay here again.

Would have been perfect, but although my room was excellent, there was a constant noise, day and night, still there when you switch off the AC, made it difficult to sleepat night. I signalled it when I checked in , nothing could be done. Stayed there 5yrs ago, the problem was already existant disappointing.

It was one of the worst experience for me. I reached the hotel at 3:15PM. Inspite of 12PM checkin, reception asked me to wait for 30 more minutes as room was not ready. After I checked in, I called at least 3 times before some one came and helped me with the Safe which was not working. Finally they changed the safe. Late night, I started hearing loud noise and my room floor was vibrating as there was a discotheque near my room. After complaining, they changed my room at 1AM in the midnight. Reception was aware of this problem, still they gave me this room. I had to get up at 4AM to be ready for Mumbai Marathon #SCMM. I barely got 2hrs sleep. I would never again recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location is great for the price but some of the front desk staff were cold and unhelpful. The room was great but the room service food was atrocious. I was given a raw chicken burger and a ceasar salad that was about 4 days old. The staff were unapologetic about the raw chicken which was odd, wouldn't recommend the food.

The bar plays such loud music that tge hold building shakes at the middle of the night. Couldnt sleep at all at night upto 3 am. Hotrible experience. Will never stay again neither will reccomend to anyone else. It is less an hotel and more a bar mimicking a disco.

Very clean hotel, just around the corner from The Gateway to India & close to many restaurants, markets & bars. Also very close to museums & galleries. Excellent rooms, very spacious, very clean. Free internet, which is very reliable. Tea & coffee in the rooms, together with 2 litres of free bottled water each day.

Well located in excellent area. Clean, modern, very helpful staff, good restaurant downstairs. Room somewhat dark. Noise from bar downstairs on Saturday night.

I stayed here in Sept 2014 for a night with my fiancé. It was a very good experience. The room was of 5 start quality with every possible amenities available in the room, I was amazed to see everything in there. My fiancé loved it all :-) The morning breakfast was very good, right from Indian menu (On Demand) to continental menu were available. The only disappointment was that, I used their Computer/Desktop with internet facility for my office work purpose, they charged me extra for that with per hour usage rate wherein the internet speed was very poor because of which it took me 1 hour for 15 mins of work! I think this kind of facility should be free of cost at such hotels! Anyway, the overall experience was very good, I would definitely come to this place again when I visit Mumbai next.
