Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa

This is our favorite hotel in Reno. Guest experience, service from their team and activities to offer are extraordinary. Daniel was exceptional this time, I shared that we were celebrating a promotion and he was able to give us an breathtaking room. Max at the restaurant was very attentive during our breakfast. Parking is very convenient, love their bar and bartenders, bocce courts available, this time we didn’t see it, but they usually have 5 min complimentary massages. Top!

Extremely pleased with this hotel! Wanted a non-casino hotel and this was perfect. Staff were exceptional - great customer service at the front desk. Gym, bar, location - all fantastic. Only issue - the water pressure was awful, but everything else about the hotel was great.

Pictures don’t do the hotel justice. The spa amazing. The staff friendly and knowledgeable of the area, very helpful.

The best hotel in Reno… bar none! Best in class customer service. Beautiful accommodations - well appointed room, spectacular restaurant and perfect river front location.

Location the city of Reno has gone good to bad not good at night

When we checked out one of staff members were not nice and not welcoming. They didn't even smile or ask us about our stay. They questioned a for request email thinking it was coming from me. We felt we were treated as if we re criminals. Not coming back here again.

My stay at the renaissance was amazing, close to everything we needed to do downtown. The shore for brunch is to die for. It will forever be my favorite brunch spot in Reno. Valet had great service, it was speedy and polite. James made sure I knew where I was going and helped me later on recommendations for the night.

Overall the hotel is nice. It’s a bit different than a number of the Marriott properties I’ve stayed before. The hotel was sold out so there were no upgrades available for elites so I can only speak to the standard room. The room was modern and I liked the fact that it did not have carpet. I need a lot of counter space in the bathroom so the lack of counter space in was a con. The valet guy was really nice - I wish I remembered his name! We had dinner at the bar in the restaurant and the small plates were really good but a little pricey. We needed to leave the hotel before 5 AM and were not aware that the valet service was not available until we went downstairs and the car had not been brought up even though we had requested it. Maybe it was written someplace but we were certainly not aware and planning for a little extra time. BTW there is not a casino in the hotel but I liked that part. All in all an ok stay.

Lighting in the room, especially in the bathroom was insufficient Front desk staff, however, were great Restaurant was above average; somewhat limited menu, but what was on there was very good
