Surrey Inn Ashland

This hotel is dated but very well kept. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable; the staff cheerful and helpful. Coffee was ready bright and early in the morning. I didn’t try the continental breakfast. The only negative was the notices left in the room requesting tips.

The Surrey Inn is an old hotel & it shows. The rooms smell musty so running the AC is a must. The beds are hard & just have a little blanket on them over the fitted sheet as a cover. It was clean, though, I will say that. Also, the lady who staffed the front was very nice. But beware... one night, there was a note that she wouldn’t be available again until 7a so if you lost your key or locked yourself out, you were screwed. It’s cheap & clean & has a certain charm to it. Like I said, it is clean. But you get what you pay for. The bar next door has great food & booze & great service.

The place is right next to an Irish Pub, which is highly rated with the craft beer crowd. The pub did not disappoint. Off the beaten path down in town away from the highway. It is not a super fancy place but it is clean, the decor is dated and it still uses KEYS, yes actual keys. I would definitely stay here again.

Did not stay here the lobby was flooded but was still charged this is the last time I ever book through expedia

Proximity to Ashland University was great. Quiet setting

I didn’t like that there was not a box of Kleenex in the room. I also booked 6 months in advance and requested 2 double beds and was given a king.

Good stay for an overnight.

Old property. Rooms need some updating, but they were clean. Room had a coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator. Conveniently located next door to a very good pub. Obryans Pub.

This hotel is an early Mom/Pop type place. It had a very homey feel. They are updating and have done a great job thus far. We really enjoyed being there. It was clean and well kept. The staff (lady at the desk) was very friendly and helpful. There is an excellent Pub/restaurant next door that is obviously liked by the locals. The food is very good with great service--and very convenient!
