Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort - All Inclusive

Checking into Pueblo Bonito was seamless. The front desk clerk, Gaena, was extremely professional. He was courteous, got me the room that I booked without any problems, and was easy to talk to in English. Supervisors, please buy him a lunch well earned.

We had an amazing experience at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort and the service was exceptional! A huge thank you to the staff Pool 26 - Carlos, Omar, and Marcos. From day one, they took such incredible care of our family. Their service was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful—always one step ahead and making sure we had everything we needed. They created such a relaxed, welcoming environment that made it easy to fully enjoy our time at the pool. What really stood out was the personal touch. They remembered our preferences, checked in at just the right moments, and consistently went above and beyond. It never felt transactional—just truly great hospitality. Carlos, Omar, and Marcos made our trip feel special, and Pool 26 became our favorite spot because of them. We’ll absolutely be back!

This was our first time at Pueblo Bonito Sunset and we had an amazing vacation. The staff we excellent and friendly. Food was delicious and cocktails were delicious. Raúl and Angel at the market bar are amazing bartenders and make a great Old Fashion. They are great to talk to and will go out of their way to help. The Sky Pool at the top of the resort has amazing views of the Pacific ocean and you can watch humpback whales breaching and jumping all day. One annoying thing however is the "extra charge" for a lot of things at the resort. The tennis/pickleball courts are $20/hr, $15 to rent equipment, and if you want to play afterdark you have and extra chanrge for lights! Aside from a few minot annoyances, this was one of our best vacations. This was our first time here but it won't be our last.

Eleazar was the best server! We had so much fun at the pool and can always relax and know that the next round is on the way! He also helped me to find a chair on a very busy day!

Room service times were too long.

We stayed 4 nights and 5 days at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach while attending a wedding, and overall we had a wonderful trip. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the resort itself is visually impressive. The wedding venues for both the ceremony and reception were amazing, and the food served at the wedding was excellent. The golf cart service was also consistently excellent and made getting around the property easy and enjoyable. The spa was another highlight of our stay. My husband had a 50-minute sports massage, and I had an 80-minute deep tissue massage. Both were wonderful. The spa amenities and overall service were excellent and made for a very relaxing experience. We also brought our 13-year-old daughter, and she really enjoyed the Fun Lab, which was a great feature for families. The dining experience throughout the resort started off strong but declined after the first few days. There were also inconsistent menu options, which was disappointing. One day, The Bistro offered an amazing buffet-style setup, but it was not available consistently. We also found that the evening service was noticeably better than the morning service. Quivira, the steakhouse with an additional charge, was a standout. The setting was beautiful, the service was outstanding, and the food was very good. Room service, however, was consistently cold and subpar. There were also several issues that stood out, especially considering the price point. The main pool often lacked both towels and available seating. The rooms felt dated, with visible water damage, patch repairs, and a musty smell. The beds were very firm and not particularly comfortable. When we arrived, there were no washcloths in the room. Guests were expected to wash their own dishes, yet no dish soap was provided. Housekeeping also removed towels during service when we were already short on them. We were also asked upon arrival to sit in on a timeshare presentation. As owners of two large timeshares already, we did not commit until we had seen the room first. After seeing the condition of the room and experiencing the issues during our stay, we decided it was not the right fit for us as a timeshare property. While we truly enjoyed the trip, the wedding, the spa, and the beauty of the property, for the cost, this resort did not meet the standard we expected.

Let me start by saying that I’m an actual timeshare owner. A member if you will. We had to reschedule our trip for spring break due to the news of possible murder that might happen if we go to Mexico. We’re traveling much a little kids and our friends kids so we decided to change our trip. No big deal right? Well, we already paid $8000 ahead of time for everybody to go and when I called to cancel, they said it was no problem. They tried to talk us into staying and asked us why we were canceling and we just went through the motions. Just told them that we’re a member so we will come back for sure because we normally come back a couple times a year. They told me that it would take about 2 to 3 weeks for my refund to come back and since you’re in Mexico, I said that’s fine. Well, three weeks has come and gone and now we’re about in week five right now. I called them to ask where the refund was and they basically have no idea what I’m talking about. They keep telling me to send an email to the refund email which I have about 12 times in the last two weeks. Not a single response or even automated email back from the refund department. So I called again today and talked to a man named Ernesto. I’m not sure why Ernesto even works there because he could give two craps about anything that I said. He kept telling me that he is not the refunds department and that he can only check it. But he told me that like six times before he actually checked my account. Once he checked my account, he said yes I do see that you’re owed about $7000 still and I simply asked where it was. He says you have to reach out to the refund department and I asked him if he could transfer me, and he said I can’t transfer you because there is no phone number. But use this email. I then explained to him that I’ve emailed them several times and he said please try emailing again. If they treat the owners like this, I wonder what they treat regular customers that are on this website looking for help. Luckily, I paid with a credit card on this so if anything I can deal with my credit card on it, but there is no way that they should be able to take their time refunding money for services not rendered. They are very quick to take your money over the phone and very quick to say yes to everything that you’re asking for, but in turn their customer service ends there. Ernesto wanted to get off the phone so quickly because I wasn’t buying them from him. As of right now, it’s been five weeks and I have not seen any refund. Come back to my account. Still waiting on $7000.
