Holiday Inn Colorado Springs - Airport by IHG

I have stayed at this Holiday Inn many times. It is very convenient to the airport and my sister’s house. It is clean and comfortable, and I’ve appreciated the fitness center and on site restaurant.

But - the hotel is under reconstruction. The restaurant is closed. The pool and fitness center closed halfway through my stay. I understand that hotels need updates, but I think I should have been warned when I made the reservation. It would have been easy for the hotel to message me.

Recent water pipe burst so hotel is 1/3 full and no dining open.

Friendly staff , quiet . Pillows uncomfortable

Very convenient to the airport

Hotel offered free transport to airport but when I checked in I was told there was no airport shuttle service after 5PM or before 8AM. Website did not list this. I stayed here a year ago and this was not the policy. Had to incur taxi fare to and from airport.

A lot of renovations throughout the hotel. Workers at every corner. The hotel staff was very helpful, kind and professional! I can’t say enough about them and making my stay as good as possible.

The service was amazing. They happen to be going through renovations, so I did not get the room I reserved but they made accommodations for us which helped tremendously. I would still go back and try again when they get the building renovated and back to normal business working routine..

Anthony at check-in was fantastic and welcoming. They just had a water leak due to the cold, however they are managing it fine, and it’s not disruptive for our stay.

The hotel was beautiful as usual. However the gentleman was rude. I came in all the way from Colorado drove the arctic storm, called ahead of time to let them know we were going to be checking late due to hazardous conditions of the road. He did not care and told us Expedia had already canceled the rooms and that we would have to pay a late fee of $288 which was outrages. We left,
