Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Abilene, an IHG Hotel

We are frequent travelers and have stayed in many hotel facilities in many states. This facility’s problems start with poor signage on the frontage road especially at night. The easiest way to locate this facility is to look for Choice Hotel sign, drive around back and you will find the Holiday Inn Express. The property’s flower beds are full of weeds. Rugs at hotel entrance were dirty. The only elevator is about 5-6 feet square. Once you get a luggage cart in the elevator there is room for only 2-3 passengers. The room has had the ceiling painted, but it was never trimmed out where the ceiling and wall meet. Baseboards and caulking are dirty. TV did not work. Breakfast items were all cold including gravy and biscuits. The eating area included chairs with ripped seat bottoms and arms. As we were checking out, we told the Desk Clerk about the problems with our room and suggested the Manager was welcome to call and we could discuss our experiences at this facility. The Desk Clerk said the Manager does not come in until 3 PM. Never received a call. The only good things at this hotel: received a free bottle of water since we are reward members, the bed was comfortable and hot water pressure was plentiful. This is a 1 star facility and is way over priced.

Not much rude staff, tv and air did work all time

Woman employee was nice men were rude. Bed sounded like broken, tv didn’t work most of time air conditioning nearly worked
