SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Houston Medical Center

Nicest front desk staff of any hotel I’ve ever been to!

Check-in was great. All the staff were friendly. It wasn’t a far drive from the Methodist Hospital. Elevator and halls felt like a sauna, but our room cooled off nicely. There was a dirty sheet on the floor by the elevator when we got off on our floor upon arrival and it was still there when we left the next morning. We didn’t ask why. We just went about our business. All we needed was a place to sleep and they fed us a quick, easy breakfast. It was affordable and we will stay again if needed.

Close to Texas Medical Center hospitals and Rice University. Clean facility. Friendly staff.

Breakfast is hardly what the website refers to or what I thought... The hot tub was broken, there were police there excorting someone off the property in which they blocked the darned entrance . Parking isn't convenient to entrance of hotel. Had to get my own blankets and pillows for the sofa bed even with extra people listed as coming on the trip.

Very convenient to MD Anderson, Small but clean room, Good for a night or two.

Bottom line: the internet was unusable. I tried multiple times on multiple devices and the connection was so slow that I had to leave to take meetings in a coffee shop.

I had a gig nearby and the options were either stay in Downtown or Medical Center / Hermann Park / Museum District area. Downtown was $200 more for the same distance and did not include parking. This was perfect for what I needed and also NOON checkout!
