Hotel Topas

Travelling on my own and needed somewhere for a couple of nights in Frankfurt. Topas Hotel gave me a simple but clean room on the top floor. Single bed in ok size room, paired with standard size spotless modern shower room. Room was at the back so view was of the backs of other blocks - not scenic but perfectly ok. As I was on the top floor and facing the back it was very quiet at night. Staff were friendly - some English spoken but I tried my best with German as much as I could! Breakfast was in a cosy room at the back. Typical continental options sufficient to set you up for the day. Hotel was a few minutes walk NW from the main station. The guidesbooks said it was a bit seedy around the station. The immediate area did contain a number of budget hotels and there were people and cars about but no shops. So not safe, but also not unsafe. The only seedy area I found was to the NE of the sation - Taunustrasse. But even then one block across is one of the main shopping streets. Overall I would use again.

Stayed one night, room condition was better than what i expected. Room is small but toilet is clean. Breakfast is nice.

We stayed only one night, but were impressed with our stay. Nice walk to the centre, good breakfast, tidy rooms with modern facilities and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful, would recommend!

Simple but super clean and modern Hotel! Everybody was really nice, the WiFi was stable and fast and breakfast was comprehensive! Unfortunately, the mattress was so hard that I couldn’t sleep more than five hours any night. But I immediately got a second duvet when I asked for it.

I spent 3 nights at this hotel, for a business trip in Frankfurt. Location is strategic, close to main station and downtown. The hotel appears recently renovated. It is so clean. Rooms are confortable, but not very well-equipped. Staff is gentle.

Great hotel in great location within walking distance of train station. I’ll be back!

Hotel was excellent and very close to the train station. I didn't like the neighborhood which was dirty with lots of men standing around or sitting at tables outside smoking. Had to walk through clouds of cigarette smoke. Many ethnic restaurants of questionable cleanliness around. I would not have felt safe at night.

This hotel is close to Frankfurt Main Station, convenient for travellers. The hotel was clean and staff courteous. The housekeeping staff did their job well but were very noisy. There seemed to be a morning long conversation conducted at high volume to reach friends in other parts of the hotel. The reception staff were frequently to be found at the front door, smoking and making phone calls. On two occasions I had to interrupt this private business to conduct hotel business. On check out, the reception person could not be found and I was seriously delayed. The breakfast is poor, lacking in variety. Cold meats and cheeses are left uncovered for hours. The only hor food is boiled eggs. Needs to improve!

Good place for train travelers

Quite, clean, functional, very friendly personal, close to main train station Hauptbahnhof. some cozy cafes and restaurants just right there. If you have any issues with any thing at the hotel, staff are very helpful with excellent manner. Breakfast ok, clean and frindly service who cares of details. Preis / Leistung: exzellent. Sehr zu empfehlen!
