"Dark & dreary"

Room was very dark with only 2 lamps. Window looked at a wall of a building. No breakfast served, as advertised. Room, however, was clean but very dated.

Upon check in, went to front desk and showed pictures of smoke detector missing and screen on window ripped open. Also complained room reeks like smoke and we have the window open. (I recorded our conversation) However, 3 days later my card is charged $150 + room charge $89. Called and was told the $150 was for “disrespecting hotel.” Hotel Person told me there was smoking in our room. I explained no one was smoking in room, and our door and window were open because of the room smoke smell. Hotel Person admitted there were people smoking in hallway down from our room. Not our people, not my problem. However I got charged. Hotel person said they will not give me my $150 back. That is some shady stuff. Will never recommend, promote, or stay at this shabby, dirty, run down hotel again!!

We were booked for 3 nights Labor Fay weekend. Had to cancel our third night after check in. Gave more than 24 hours notice direct to manager. Said no problem. Will not be charged for thrid night. Got charged. Called multiple times. No return call from mgr.. Told the following weekend when we went there again that refund issued and would have in 24-48 hrs. Its 20 days later. No refund. Bad communication. Bad business. Really stinks that they treat guests like this. We would of stayed there approx 10 times a year in the future....
