The location

It was in disrepair, paint,caulk, they didn’t run the A/C in the hallway and the A/C in the room was noisy!

There was very little to like at this 'hotel,' and I am being kind by giving this place 'hotel' status. The location (in Kennett) was the only redeeming quality.

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in, in my entire life. And it wasn't cheap! I think we paid over $100 dollars to stay in this hotel. It smelled bad, from the room, to the front desk. The place was in a very bad state. The carpets were old and worn, the doors were in poor condition, the beds were not good, the emergency exit door near our room would not close fully, so anyone could have walked in, and the area outside the door seemed sketchy. The parking lot was in poor condition. There was really nothing good about this place. Worst value in a hotel I have every experienced. And it was scary. At one point we heard what sounded like a child, outside out door. We checked, and sure enough, there was a young child, sitting on a luggage cart, playing with toys. She was maybe 3 or 4 at most. She looked like she had been abandoned. There was no one else anywhere around. I assume she may have been the child of someone on staff, but there was no one around. I spoke to hear and realized she didn't speak English. It was sad. She was right by the door to the outside that wouldn't close.

It is a shame that this hotel charges $25 extra (cash only) for early check-in. It doesn’t make sense as this was in a small town with plenty of rooms available… it was not mentioned anywhere on website that they charged extra for early check in and also never mentioned on phone that it was cash only.

No breakfast, bathroom needed a deep clean, toilet was tilted, worn out furniture, and weak mattress.

The location was good

The website in which we booked the room said there was a breakfast but there wasn’t. When we got there the front desk clerk didn’t see our reservation even though we had already paid. She was going to make us pay again and we let her know we weren’t going to do that. She called her manager who told her she had already printed our reservation so it was sitting there the whole. Our kids got there later that evening and see gave their room to someone else. Thankfully they had another room.

Facility was nice

It had roaches, I had to ask for bug spray the rooms really need dusting and detailing.

The staff were nice

Advertised breakfast included and they did not serve breakfast. The air conditioner was not on at all in the room or hallway’s and it was 97 degrees outside. Took hours to cool down the room. Walked across the floor barefoot and my feet got filthy.

Not so great. The room was dirty and paint chipping off the walls and ceiling.
