Super 8 by Wyndham Galesburg

It was cool and clean.

They friendly staff and the location.

They said i can pay in person but when i got there they wouldn’t let me pay with cash.

This motel is obviously old and in need of a remodel. The lady at the front desk was nice and professional yet small town way. It was clean for as old as it is, but my room did have ants. I can tell the staff is doing the best they can with what they have. I would have liked to have an iron in the room.

Then need more variety of breakfast.

The staff were great but our room left much to be desired. The dead bolt was missing part of it so it didn't work, and all you had to do was turn the door handle to exit the room (we had a toddler with us so this was a nightmare to secure him). One of the mattresses coils was shot on the left side so i felt like i was going to roll out of the bed the whole time. The breakfast was small but nice, but no chairs or tables to really sit outside the room to eat.

It was clean and quiet. No unusual smells. The breakfast had a good assortment of items available, including a waffle maker, yogurt and fresh fruit.

The area for the continental breakfast was a little small.

No room cleaning was provided. Poorly maintained property. Signage was confusing and misleading - all signage visible from the road identifies as a different hotel.
