Orlando and Farfan were the best ever!!! They had so much kindness and always put smiles on our face. They were so caring and made our vacation SO much better. You should definitely come here and look out for them because they are the greatest!!!

Our stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya was disappointing overall. The check-in process was ridiculously long, and when we arrived around 2 PM after traveling from Chicago, we were told our room wouldn’t be ready for several hours. Throughout the resort, bars frequently ran out of basic drink ingredients shortly after opening (for example, no mango juice for a mango daiquiri). Food options in the markets were repetitive and not refreshed often. It was also surprisingly difficult to find drinking water, as there were no water stations and asking for water at bars often seemed to confuse staff. All pools close at 7 PM, which feels extremely early for a resort. We also expected more live music and entertainment at a Hard Rock property, but activities were limited and not well communicated. When we asked for an event calendar, we were told to take a picture of it from a tablet instead of being given a printed copy. Guests should receive a printed map and activity schedule at check-in. The resort itself was clean and the staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, but the experience overall felt disorganized and lacking in amenities.

I’ll start with…I’m not typically a review person. I’m also not a blogger/influencer or travel expert. BUT I know how hard it is to choose a vacation destination so I hope my honest feedback is helpful to those planning their next trip. I traveled with my family & family friends, a group of 32, all with kids ranging from 1st grade-8th grade. We picked this place mainly based on cost, group size & family friendly amenities. The bus ride from the airport took an hour & fifteen minutes ( which we were aware of, of course, but felt very long once in it). When we did arrive, the check in process was PAINFULLY slow. It took 30-40 minutes per family to get checked in. We arrived after check in time (4pm) yet still had a few families who had to wait for rooms. It was a lot of standing around & waiting for an unnecessary amount of time. Once we were checked in & started to walk around, we were disappointed with the snack bar being empty & being told they were out of multiple types of drinks (strawberry daquiries, pina coladas, mojitos)…we were hoping this was just due to the time of our arrival, but being out of multiple items became a reoccurring theme. Constantly battling with the drinks orders, being out of burgers at the burger stand, after only 10 minutes of being open, no chicken/steak for tacos at the food truck by the water park…this happened multiple times at various spots & it started to be a 50/50 chance on if they would have what we ordered. We also struggled with the drinking water situation. There were not any fill stations or carafes to get a drink of water, outdoors, so it felt like we were constantly standing in line to order water. It would be so helpful to have a fill station of some sort around the outdoor areas. We were very pleased with the overall service, all of the friendly & attentive staff, the pool & beach area never feeling overly crowded, & being able to dine (on more than 1 occasion) with our large group of 32. The conjoined room for our family of 5 was amazing, the entertainment was enjoyable, & the kids had a blast in the waterpark/trampoline park. I personally wouldn’t pick it again for our family, but with a big group with a lot of ages to accommodate, I’d say it’s a good option. Just do your research & know what your deal breakers are! If I were to start looking again, I would look for an option closer to the airport, a streamlined check in service, more conveniently placed water fill stations & less run ins with being out of multiple items. Final note: there was no elevator (not sure if it was out of order or they don’t have one?), so being on the third floor can be a challenge & 2 water slides were closed for maintenance…these may be additional things to check on before booking!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our stay at Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya was amazing. The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and the food, pools, and overall atmosphere were fantastic. The staff truly makes this place special. A huge thank you to our butler, Eumanual, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. His attentiveness, professionalism, and kindness made us feel truly cared for. He anticipated our needs and made everything seamless. We had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to return!

I would say that our stay at Hard Rock Rivera Maya was better than really good. The food was great and the experience was more than a person could ask for. What made it over the top is the two people that took care of us during our stay. Diego and Naef went out of there way to meet any need we had arise as well as then thinking ahead many times to help us out before we even knew we would need it. They had recommendations for food and activities but didn't feel any pressure from them at all. They made it an incredible family vacation.

Oscar and William from pool heaven were absolutely amazing with their massage. So relaxing and I felt amazing afterwards!!

Had an excellent time at the Hard Rock, food was excellent, the pools were great and best of all the activations were excellent. One of the best parts when you're laying by the pool we had Oscar and William come by for a head and back massage and it was excellent as well! Would highly recommend.
