Pestana Miramar Garden & Ocean Resort

1st time staying at the mirimar needs, we usually stay at the village. The room we had 7412 was lovely with flowers growing around the balcony and over looking the pool. The staff were lovely especially the bar staff to mention a few names Andrea , Phillip, Ivan, zac, & hassan. They all were friendly and welcoming. We used the village winter gardens bar which we hope won’t loose its charm when the village is refurbished. The mirimar cocktail bar is not advertised enough & can be difficult to find . There is a brass plaque that is illegible on the wall at the bottom of the steps leading to it . Once again it is full of old world charm & an ideal to watch the fireworks that happen every June on Funchal harbour. It is quiet and not used enough. The mirimar pool is good , but lacks small tables to put items on . The pool bar is not manned all the time which means taking steps up to the village pool bar. This could be awkward for anyone with mobility issues. I would definitely recommend this hotel . Thanks for a brilliant stay

I stay in this resort 10 days. Everything is so good. The garden is so beautiful and the environmen give me so pleasure good place for relaxing. Every staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was so clean and fresh. The food are so delicious. I enjoyed a lovely holiday here.

Have had the loveliest stay at Pestana Miramar Funchal for 10 days really nice hotel reasonable food fair amount of choice staff lovely very helpful room nice Entertainment every night Only a short walking distance to centre of Funchal but can get the bus right across from the hotel very cheap Paying for drinks and food you pay by card they don't accept cash Restaurants in Funchal accept card and cash Madeira is a beautiful island If choosing to go on trips either use the local buses but if booking a mini bus trip try to book in the shops that state no timeshare as you can get caught out

Just on our last day here at the miramar and we have had a great week. The room is great very big and perfect for us. The hotel seems quite quiet but that is perfect for us it’s very relaxing. My only slightly negative comment is the breakfast buffet as in the hot choices are just bizarre for breakfast service. But that has not spoilt the overall experience at all. We would definitely stay again given the opportunity

We had a wonderful four-night stay at Pestana Miramar. We had booked this holiday to celebrate both my husband's and my son's birthdays. It was a bit disappointing that the hotel didn’t acknowledge the occasion in any way. However, after I shared my disappointment with a staff member named Claudia, she showed genuine empathy and went above and beyond by arranging a lovely surprise in our room that evening. Claudia was consistently warm and friendly with all the guests she interacted with. A big thank you to her for adding a special touch to our holiday! #shoutout

We used both the restaurants in the hotel. The food was excellent and we visited several times from the Hotel Pestana Grand. The staff were really friendly, and a special to Carlos (AKA Michael Jackson!). Every meal we had was first class, great chef .

Fantastic facilities including swimming pools and jacuzzi. We had a lovely room with a great balcony and views. Everywhere was extremely clean and all staff very friendly. Easy walk into the city and local shops. Would recommend as good value for money

The staff was very friendly and helpful all the 5 nights that we stayed. Ms.Rubina Campos, the gust service manager of the pestana village garden was tremendesly professional, sensitive , Empathic and made our stay perfect . I highly recommend this place for quite, peaceful vacation.
