Americas Best Value Inn Monroeville

It served its purpose of giving us a place to stay to avoid driving late at night. The bed needs replacing. They have recent remodeled but could have made more attention to details and improve staying experienced greatly. Unstaged pictures of rooms and lobby should be required.

We stayed here for 1 night while traveling through Alabama. We booked it online and the pictures looked good. Unfortunately, they were wrong. The lady at the desk, Christie, was very nice and helpful but that is the only good thing I can say. There are abandoned buildings next door, so not a very good area to stay in. There was some lady with chickens trying to round them up when we checked in. They must cater to workers who stay long term because there were a lot of men, trucks, drinking and talking outside and into the night. The exterior and parking lot was dirty. The motel is older and the wall was coming apart in the bathroom. There was a roach in the toliet when we arrived. There was no closet or rack to hang clothes on just 2 hooks against the wall. There was not an iron or ironing board.om the room. We had a non smoking room but it smelled bad like someone had been smoking. The breakfast was a joke. We went down about 7:30 and the coffee pot was almost empty and sitting off the coffee maker but no one around to make more. There was 3 types of cereal and then about 1/4 gallon of milk sitting in the small refrigerator. There was mini cinnamon buns, a few danish and a waffle maker. No toast, no toaster, no butter, no sweetner and a small amount of powder creamer in a shaker. we couldn't find an employee for almost 10 mins when finally a lady came out looking like she just woke up. I can not recommend this place.

My family and I actually stayed an extra day because of the hospitality of the workers...everyone was super helpful and friendly...loved it..bonus was we had a pool for the kids that was clean safe and comfortable..

We stayed 4 nights there, staff was prompt and very friendly. Internet was slow but weather wasn't good and it is a small town. There are restaurants close enough to go walking and a gas station just in front.

Continental Breakfast Of poor quality. There were black ants in the syrup. We were given a used container of margarine that had different particle of food in it. The waffle mix seen to be watered down.

It started with the counter person wanting me to pay, when I had a pre-paid room. Does that not come through on the reservation??? Got placed upstairs, we were there early, not too sure abo ut the reason behind that! The rooms could use updating. Sheets are stained, get new ones. Only had two towels, one washcloth, no hand towels. Went down for the Continental breakfast the next morning . Coffer was cold, the options were slim pickings, so we elected to go out instead. Most likely will not return!

Very modern lobby! Love the new additions. This place is very clean and the lady at the desk was very friendly and went above and beyond the call of duty and made everything perfect. We were in town visiting old friends. This place is highly recommended.

It was ok. The room took a while to cool off. Lots of construction noise. Remodeling there so there was a dumpster in front of my door. But the bed was comfortable and pillows just right.

My stay was great ! It was our family reunion (33 miles away). I would have booked w/family but I had some personal issues and booked late. However, this place was close to Monroeville, AL so I got to visit and learn more about Harper Lee, author of 'To Kill a Mockingbird'. It was clean, basic, and I got to visit an area that I had bypassed for over 40 years !

was quite, convenient to stores, and staff was very nice. room was clean and bed was soft.
