Wilderness Beach Hotel

The location is great and the hotel is really nice overall. Love the staff. They are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast was fantastic.

The place is great overall but the rooms need an upgrade now. I also found a cockroach in my room.

Alotoof the hotel facilities appeared very badly maintained. The grass was dry, broken tenis courts. The passage carepts did not apear clean. The staff were helpful.

There was nothing to like in terms of expectations. The once clean, pristine hotel is now a student hostel and not a hotel! It is a property where paragliders and their extended families and businesses take over the grounds.

There was nothing to like besides the staff that tried their best to explain and manage a dilapidated property from the parking to the rest of the supposedly hotel. I even find it hard to believe that I was forced to stay in this dilapidated rundown facility. At first, we were given rooms right at the end of the passage on the ground floor that took an eternity to get to. From the pool facing room that we were promised, we landed up in a room facing...dead grass and the throughfare of beach goers and paragliders. Spectators simply make themselves at home on your supposedly private patio including the pets! This begs the question about your security! There is no security! We traveled from East London with great expectations...to be met with great disappointment! The aircon was broken and blowing hot air and went off like an old diesel machine in the middle of the night disturbing the whole neighborhood! To top this, we booked two rooms of which the other had no aircon at all. I complained to the hotel management and Booking.com. I spent hours on the telephone to accomplish nothing! Although the booking.com operator tried assisting in finding other accommodation, it was virtually impossible as alternative accommodation was all booked or partially booked. This would have meant moving from one place to the other which was just too inconvenient. I demand that my moneys be refunded! The advertising on Booking.com is absolutely misleading and fraudulent. The pictures in comparison to what we saw, is like day and night! We had to settle for rooms closer to reception that had once again only one room with a functional aircon. A fan was provided for the other room. Not a day passed where we not had to request toilet paper...not one! There are no "Do not disturb" signs to hang on your door with the result that "housekeeping" knocks on your door at 7:45 to do stocktake of coffee, tea and sugar???
