Americas Best Value Inn Houston at FM 1960 & I-45

Estaba sucio y muy impersonal.

This place is terrible nasty bad customer service also they have bed bugs... Please do not come here.... Save your money and go somewhere more safe and more cleaner...

The hotel was booked up so when I checked in had no room to stay in ... when I asked about a refund I was emailed and told I wasn’t gonna be getting a refund because no one was able to contact the hotel

Looked like someone kicked in the bathroom door 2 holes in the door and it wouldn’t latch close other than that good place to stay for the price

Staff was lacking professional and personable skills. The hotel was dirty. In the room the wall outlets, lamps beside the bed, jacuzzi jets in the tub, the microwave and all of this did not work. Unable to receive regular room service. The key card to the hotel quit working every day and had to go get a new one reprogrammed. The room was over powered by smoke smell. The area was bad, unclean.

Going up to my room could smell marijuana. My room had a terrible smell as well, I left room for a few hrs hoping it was their cleaner materials, but when I returned the smell was still their I told front desk, their only reply was sorry there are no refunds! I checked out and wasted my money had to spend on a different hotel & spend more money. This place is horrible and for hotel.com to recommend them is shameful!!

I didn't get to use my last day . They kicked in the door and kept yelling and wouldn't even check again for the reservation.Items were left behind also

I booked this hotel because of the beautiful picture of the indoor pool and hot tub! Unfortunately neither were open because of Covid. If I had been told at booking it was closed I would have expected it. I heard on the news “Texas is opened back up” Hotels in Minnesota and Wisconsin with indoor pools are open so this was definitely not expected. I also had a room with no coffee maker. My daughters room had a fridge mine did not. The tubs had no stoppers. We had to purchase stoppers from Walmart to take a bath! The front desk agent that is the owners nephew called my husband an “old man”! That isn’t very customer friendly! No one was friendly at this hotel! The beds did not have blankets only a very thin bedspread. Another purchase from Walmart was a blanket for the bed. If you are going to stay here don’t expect to swim, bring a coffee pot and blanket and tub stopper! Also don’t expect any Texas hospitality! Since I was born in Texas this is the one that stings the most!

Never stay at this location. Management is a joke. The room and hallways all smell like marijuana and cigarettes. Even though there are signs posted that’s it’s a nonsmoking facility. When brought up to management they did not care. They offered to spray air freshener... the smell was so “thick” it stayed on my clothes when leaving.

Looks like they are renovating the property. This has been a process since 2014 when I first started reserving rooms here. At times it seems as though there is a lot of riff raff there. As long as it doesn't affect me, I will continue to book rooms there. It is conveniently located to shopping malls, food places and also movie theaters.
