"Overpriced for provincial NZ"

We stayed in the old part of this hotel. Would recommend not doing this. It’s very dated and needs a make over. The price was out of whack with the rest of palmy and overpriced for what it is and where it is. The manager was excellent and the service good but needed a few more comforts for the price. Avoid attached restaurant as that is over priced as well. We have stayed before and the new accomodation is much better. It is close to really good cafes.

The location was very central to great cafe's and the overall CBD. The staff and service was also very efficient and friendly and helpful. The room itself was well presented and clean, and being on the 4th floor there were great views of the wider Manawatu area.

The immediate area around the hotel seemed like a rather abandoned rundown side of town, though oddly enough it is only half a block away from a very vibrant area which can offset. The room itself felt a bit stale, obviously clean and in good order but for the price we paid it would have been nice for it to be a bit more modern.

"Karma with Distinction "

From the moment we arrived, Karma treated us with great warmth and kindness. He really went the extra mile to not only ensure our stay was a comfortable one, but to also ensure we got the most out of our time in Palmerston North. Our stay at Distinction was lovely. Room was clean & comfortable. We also enjoyed a meal downstairs at the restaurant during our stay.

"Excellent location Great food and comfortable beds"

Room was great. Beds were comfortable. Pillows for a change were comfortable and provided a great nights sleep. Restaurant provided great food both at dinner and breakfast following morning

Website shows Shower cubicle in room but instead we got shower over bath which was not practical but since we were only staying one night did not detract much from the overall stay. Toilet bowl was on the low side which caused difficulty getting up.
