Bathroom door loudly squeaks. Room too cold. Shower operation poor. TV; it wasn’t clear how to turn it on. No breakfast included, despite their website implying that breakfast was to be included.

Delightful historic hotel near the water, walkable, pretty views, fantastic bar and restaurant.

Loved all, everything works well, but expect an old (1882!) quaint hotel feel.

Centralized location.

This is a beautiful hotel built in the 1850s. The grand character shined throughout the building and in our room. The views from our room of the water and sunsets were absolutely amazing. Great location in old town Benecia in the middle of the antique shops and restaurants. Just a short stroll to the marina and waterfront park where the birds and wildlife abound. Fabulous restaurant on the ground floor owned by a great guy Gabe who is also a world class chef.

The front desk staff were only there for 3 hours in the evening. Otherwise it was a strictly do it yourself establishment. Nobody answered the hotel's contact phone when we arrived at 3 to check in and the front desk was deserted. The restaurant proprietor Gabe ended up getting a hold of the hotel manager and gave us our room keys. Despite being advertised as available there was no breakfast of any kind or anyone at the front desk in the morning for that matter. The room was a little run down and the water in the shower was lukewarm.

Historical property was on ghost adventures, not too much activity, however, it tingled

self-serve breakfast with bars and oatmeal, it's adequate. Coffee in room was ok. Self-check-in instructions were easy to follow. Bed was comfortable and location was great. Bathroom and amenities were clean. There is a restaurant downstairs but we didn't eat there.

Given it's an old establishment, don't expect it to meet today's standard, but overall it met our expectations.
