Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Slidell by IHG

Although the room was quite comfortable. The location of the hotel and surrounding area was pretty sketchy. People were gathered in the lobby and near the hotel entrance. But the room was quiet and cold, just the way I like it.

First room was propped open and we found dirty towels and clothes in the room, along with water on the ground. Next room didn’t have a smoke alarm and it smelled so bad. Hotel couldn’t print off a decent clear receipt even when I asked for another one to see what they were charging.

Decent hotel. Great check in experience. Room service/ cleaning could have been better.

Run down hotel, dirty corridors, nothing works in fittness room, coffee maker doesn’t work, toilet tank overflows

Though room as updated, the rest of the hotel was not. Outside sign was faded and parking lot had cracks in it. Dirty halls and Elevator. Elevator had ugly brackets and mismatched screws holding on the control panel. Bad smells throughout. No cook to order Breakfast. Breakfast didn’t start at 7am, it started at about 7:40 am instead. Our room had view of derelict shopping center rooftop, Wendy’s sign and McDonalds Golden Arches sign.

No breakfast two days in a row because staff didn't show up. Management did not rectify the situation. Front desk staff spent more time in the back room then being available to clients. Strongly do not recommend.

We stayed from Monday nite and checked out on Friday, we did not have our trash emptied or clean towels at all! We had to request for this to be done then they just emptied the trash that we had already taken out and picked up the dirty towels. They did not make the beds nor did they even leave a roll of toilet paper. We had to go request that as well. The halls were not vacuumed the whole time we were there. We reserved 2 rooms online for our vacation stay. The reviews were good! I dont know where these people stayed but it wasn’t the same place we did obviously. The desk staff were polite that’s the only good thing I can say. Oh and the tub in the other room was super slow draining and the faucet leaked. Yes we did report it. Definitely won’t stay here again
