The Breakfast is OK.

On the first night of checking in the door’s lock was jammed and we stuck inside. We are so frustrated about being locked inside the room. My son and I tried so hard for almost 10 minutes to open the door so that his right wrist hurt. Before I asked my son to call the front desk, I was able to open the door. I suddenly rushed down to the front desk for the lock fixing. Around 10.30 PM, the technician came and tried to fix it for 30 minutes and couldn’t fix it. It’s getting very late and we are so tired driving back from upstate. So I asked him to change the room for us. He went downstairs and came back with the new key card of the opposite room. It took us almost 20 minutes to move our unpacked stuffs from room 529 to 530. We went to bed almost midnight. Furthermore, the room 530 was not in a very good condition and hygienic as we saw in the photos. The bathroom’s ventilation fan is full of dust so is the air condition’s grill. The carpet was torn as shown in the photo. The room condition at Comfort Inn JFK was way much much better and cheaper than this room :(

Room was disgusting. Staff were unhelpful. Only here because flight was cancelled. They gouged on pricing as room is outdated and dirty. Air don’t work in first room so took 20 minutes to access other room on other side of hotel. Clearly room had been “cleaned” to cover weed smell. Next time I’ll rent a car and sleep in it until my rescheduled flight.
