Keltic Lodge At The Highlands

The Middle head hike was a real adventure, a great experience! As illness affected our holiday, the staff was especially understanding and compassionate. We are very grateful.

The reception was disappointing... The room wasn't clean, dust bunnies, dirty fixtures and windows. The A/C unit was full of water and wouldn't operate and the filter on the back of the unit was totally disgusting. Considering the fact this was a $300.00 per night stay... I was NOT pleased!! I have visited and stayed at many places over the years and this Lodge, like the Blomidon Inn and the DelRay in PEI were NOT up to the standard that I am expecting considering the price...you should be ashamed of the condition!! Dirty carpets, vacuum cleaners are very common these days....try using it on "occasion". The grounds and the Pool were very nice... Overall, you failed and I will NOT be returning nor will I suggest your "hovel" for others to visit!!!

I’m sure at some point this was a beautiful property. Sadly it’s very run down now. The cabins are not properly stocked, glass missing from patio deck and the property’s to not overlook the ocean!!!! You will need to shuttle to the pool which is not heated. Beautiful view but unless you hit a warm day is cold. We had a phenomenal check in and shuttle driver (same gentleman) who was outstanding! We had one spoon and a knife in our place and no phone… odd I would not return. Better property in the area more affordable that have more to offer.

Everyone and everything was great. Breakfast was great- room comfortable and clean.

They need to touch base with Expedia as I had booked 2 nights , Room was one king and 2 doubles because we had a party of 6. Upon check in was told they do not have any rooms matching that description. So the other couple with us had to sleep on a pull out couch we are easy to get along with so we requested a cot. Friendly and helpful staff however. Restaurant Arduaine, it was crazy busy 2 hrs 50 mins for a meal. The area as a whole I think is still feeling the aftermath of Covid deathly slow everywhere. The view as always is stunning at Keltic, your paying for that . We stayed at the Corson house very nice room but not worth $450 a night IMO.

We had a disappointing stay. The room we stayed in was in the main lodge: it was dated and the floors were unclean. The bathtub had rusted fixtures, the air con unit didn’t work. We were surprised and disappointed that breakfast was not included in our booking: we paid over $400 for one night. The views/setting is stunning but that is the only aspect we were very satisfied with.

They need an elevator. JD...Ontario

Great stay, hotel is a bit old and hasn’t been renovated in a while, otherwise great experience! Good food at the Purple Thistle!
