Keltic Lodge At The Highlands

Property needs refurbishment/updating. Carpeting in rooms seemed damp and gross. Very underwhelming.

Relaxing experience.

Very nice place

It was a wonderful surprise to find a portable AC unit in the closet for the humidity. Wonderful location but the main lodge had windows that did not really allow you to enjoy the view. However, provided it is not raining there are plenty of other common areas to enjoy the view.

The stay at this hotel is was a disaster. It started by having no idea in which building the main desk is. A sign would be nice. After parking at the main lodge entering to find that I had to go to a different building. We were greated and given a key. Our room did not have a working toilet or sink. I tried to call the front desk but there was no answer. I had to walk. Turns out that room was “out of service” and we shouldn’t have been given it. They gave us another room. This room did not have a working air conditioner. Again no pick up from the front desk. I walked. I was told they would replace the air conditioner right away. We went to dinner and some sight seeing. When we returned they had not fixed the air. Tried to call. No one picked up. I walked again. At nine at night they moved our room again. After finally falling asleep a three am fire alarm went off. I would never recommend staying here. It is on beautiful property but the hotel is a disaster. It is also dated. Not worth paying to stay at it.

We booked a cottage with 5 adults and 2 room we had no cold water in shower and they came said it was fixed we turned on the cold water and it wouldn’t shut off so for 2 days the other couple couldn’t shower that is not acceptable and a partial refund should be given

Bed was comfortable. Staff was courteous. The facility is in disrepair. Pool water is dirty and not attended. Restaurant atmosphere was lovely. Food was sub-par. Had to send back the meal. Would not stay again

Beds are very comfy, area is beautiful. We had a loft style room with 1 king bed and 1 queen. We opened the blankets on top room loft bed and was a disgusting vomit or fecies stain on the comforter. We mentioned it to 2 different front people, they mentioned they would send someone to change the sheets. We said its ok we would use the bottom bed instead and thought they may of offered a room credit or something other than we will send someone to do their jpb that should of been done before we checked in. If this wouldn't of been handled a bit different would of gave an amazing overall review.

Trails & sea views were great.

The dinner at the Purple Thistle was outstanding. Great chef.
