Keltic Lodge At The Highlands

Loved our stay at the Keltic Lodge! Everything was perfect. The views are spectacular. We will be back for sure.

This establishment is old and that fact must be taken into consideration. AC is by portable unit. No elevators so plan for stairs. Parking is easy but updating needed. Breakfast is good for a few days/if longer make some alternate plan as local is far away. Nice staff. Cabot trail/that's why your here.

The staff were friendly and helpful at check in. The cottage we rented was a duplex, and had a family with 2 small barking dogs, and rap music playing through the walls. Thankfully we had noise makers! The tv did not have any channels, and the air conditioner was broken. The place needs some maintenance and care. The pool was just opened due to a recent storm, so it was dirty. The bathroom and towel area seemed neglected. The location was stunning, and the restaurant was also pretty yummy. If you go, try to find a cottage that isnt shared, and make sure air conditioning, and tv are in working order.

We were so happy with the room we got. Loved the two floor layout! The beds were incredibly cozy. The sheets were soft. Temperature was perfect in the room. Appreciated the coffee maker & mini fridge. I stopped a maid to let her know that they are doing a great job & that the room we stayed in was probably the cleanest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Please give these people a raise. I didn’t see even a piece of hair in the corner of the bathroom - nothing. They are doing a wonderful job! It felt almost newly renovated. Loved our stay & the grounds were beautiful! The only issue was had was our children were disappointed with the closure of the pool but we completely understand the extenuating circumstances & recent unprecedented rainfall. We’d love to come back & will be raving about this place to anyone who will listen haha

Location is beautiful

If you were like us and watched the beautiful promotional video on their website and got sucked into thinking you would be staying at a world-class resort overlooking the Ocean, then you too will feel duped. The location is in fact truly breathtaking, but that’s about it. We stayed in one of the “cottages” on the property and it was downright beat-up and tired. Water damage and a musty odor, broken plumbing fixtures, loose bathroom floor tiles and questionable electrical just to name a few things that were not what you’d expect for $500/night stay. The property has so much POTENTIAL ! If a large hotel chain (ahem, ahem Fairmont) purchased this and sank some real $ into it, I’d gladly pay big bucks to stay at what would then be a world class spot.

Closet door stock so tightly it could not be opened; window air conditioner on partially attached; door to room so hard to open I had to kick it; black mold in shower; mattress should have been replaced years ago; dining room floor filthy; staff did not really listen to what I was saying.
